Historically, the WWE has always done better than the UFC. MMA is still more niche than professional wrestling.I read that NETFLIX isn't too interested in the UFC, which is weird.
Even weirder is the WWE appears to be doing a lot better than them right now.
TKO has been using the UFC's ridiculous profits to pay off their loans elsewhere.
I think the main issue has been the killing of PPV buys via increasing the price to $70. I'd estimate that in their push from $50 to $70, they've lost 30% of their buys, but due to profit percentages, they're still doing better than most leagues.
I'm someone who would buy about a third to a half of a years PPVs depending on the year and cards.
Now, there isn't a chance i'd buy one, my last purchase was UFC 281. I watch most events in the bar, ones I don't feel like going out for I put on my second monitor while I work or something.
Even 281 which I thought was worth money (I was a Poatan fan before the fake poatards) had fucking Claudio Puelles on the main card who I can't even remember a single thing about now. Cards are more watered down than ever. I may have bought 300 had I not gone to a bar, but if their business model is "Our long time fans buy one in one hundred events" that won't work out long term.
