Burn It Down: The UFC Needs a Full Rebuild

They're more profitable than ever and their next TV deal will be for more money than the last one. They still sell out live shows even with the ridiculous ticket prices they charge now.

I have no idea how Sherbros manage to convince themselves they're struggling.

No, we just want a sport with integrity that follows the law. The UFC is supposed to be regulated by the NSAC which should be following precedents set in boxing.

The NSAC has a legal obligation to force the UFC to in turn force Jon Jones to defend or vacate. But the NSAC has abdicated their responsibility because of obvious UFC bribery behind the scenes. And we are tired of the UFC manipulating rankings and denying legitimate contenders their legally mandated title shots.

SO yes, we want to see the UFC fail and Dana White end up in prison.
I agree with you about the Jones situation and I also criticize the UFC but I wish them well and not bankruptcy. Some sherdoggers are just haters, though. Why are they here if they don't like watching the UFC?

Why can't anyone understand that it's the spirit of UFC that's dying/dead? Financial success means fuck all when the product is soulless, not to mention that most of the success is speculative and TKO owes tens of billions in loans + interest.

The spirit of the UFC dying doesn't mean much to their ongoing existence as a company though does it?

The amount of fatherless degenerates with daddy issues in this thread is such a sad display of single mothers pushing out angry twits. Dana has literally given us all the best fights with the best fighters in the world and has made himself and countless others multi millionaires.

But their customer base is growing and spending more money on the product, not the other way around.
Do you have proof that customers are spending more on the product? Yes technically they are paying more for PPV's, but how many customers are actually buying those PPV's compared to the Silva/Jones/Mcgregor era?

They are not going to get a better deal than whatever ESPN offers. They need to take whatever deal ESPN offers them, because no one else is going to outbid ESPN to begin with.
That's probably true but ESPN is also killing their sport.

They need more eyeballs watching events, and hardly anyone wants to subscribe to ESPN's shitty service.

So even if ESPN offers them more money in the short term, I think for the long term health of the UFC they would be better off with Netflix, which has 12 times more subscribers.

I've scrolled a lot and apparently I'm part of a very small minority.

I like watching cage fights every Saturday night.

I mean Sherdog has always been a haven for snivelers... But this is crazy.

it's gotten seriously stale, no doubt about it. but i'm not really sure how they even fix it, i mean there just aren't a ton of big names out there. you could say go back to stacking the cards but stack them with what.

PPV is a dying medium. The TV rights deal is where they're making broadcasting money. What I meant by that is they're charging much higher ticket prices and still selling out everywhere.

I've been seeing threads that the UFC has been dying since 2005.
Must be the slowest death of a company I have ever seen.
Wnba would like a word about living dead companies

Netflix doesn't want regular live events they only want once in a while spectacles and flavour of the month crap they can rotate out
