Bullying will never end. I think if somebody is bullying you,you should just fight them. Make sure to hit them first. maybe even touch them with teh soccer kick.

I don't disagree because getting physical with them is sometimes the only solution, but it would be better to let them hit first that way you can play the angle that you are defending yourself (but this depends on your school, in my school my friend got sucker punched to the back of the head, fought back but him and the bully both got in trouble).

Hey guys, i got a question.

Do you guys think bullying will ever stop? I'm a Senior in High School and i'm constantly seeing bullying everywhere and i see these commericals saying "Let's end bullying together", and i just can't see that happening. It's really messed up but hey, That's society. And it's not even the "Jocks" who bully these kids, it's these fake wannabe Gangsters and these Hipster kids.

So, do guys think bullying will ever stop, and if so, Do you have a solution?

If you're getting bullied, you need to man the fuck up and fight back. It's either a choice between fighting back and getting your ass kicked, or not fighting back and getting your ass kicked. So why not make it known you're not going down without a fight?

In my opinion if you made every victim of bullying take MMA or boxing lessons, bullying would decrease dramatically.

Also, I teach a kids hybrid class at the gym that's basically mma and fitness stuff. I had my first call from a parent because his kid was being bullied and picked on, and it finally came to a head. Tldr version is my student hitting his bully with a lead hook as the kids fist was pulled back, and that ended it right there. I couldn't of been more proud.

I used to rage on bullies back when I was a lifeguard at the public pool. I basically just acted as a bigger bully, treat the victim like my best friend, and recognize when the bullier would do go things afterwards. If you humble yourself and give a kid respect, while drawing a line on right and wrong, the risk of a bully environment is reduced greatly I think. My little sister still tells me about kids from that pool who still talk about me like I was Superman or something. It's a good feeling to have.

I never really was bullied as a kid. My parents brought a crate full of awards from wrestling back when I was a little beast, so from then on I had the aura of an eccentric badass. In middle school there was a little wannabe thug who was tiny and overweight, but had as sharp a tongue as you have ever seen. I talked to my dad and he told me to beat his ass. So I mentally prepared myself to beat this kid until he stopped twitching. I challenged him and he said to meet him in the bathroom. I did and that little bitch had every friend he had in there and he was no where to be seen. I told the giant kid standing across from me that I had no problem with him and I wasn't going to hit him, but I was running like a coward either. I dodged a few punches, clinched with him, and pushed off, and next thing I know a coach walks in.

I ended up with in school suspension for that. They claimed I attacked him. I regretted not hurting him for years because I would have been the baddest kid in school for that, I proved I could have done it, and I still got the full punishment. But I ran in to the guy throwing the punches not too long ago and he was incredibly nice, asking how I was and stopping to talk. I'm thankful I didn't do it now. But that punk ass bitch stopped talking to me after that and I never had a bully again. I always had people make jokes asking me not to beat them up, made me laugh my ass off because I'm as close to a pacifist as it gets. I wasn't even that good of a wrestler, but you do it long enough and people get ideas I guess lol.

No. Bullying in various definitions and forms is inevitable and to try and quantify or legislate this part of human behavior is asinine. and we take it too far. I've heard (from day one no less) Klebold and Harris referred to as "victims of bullying." If you can't shun kids for bigotry, then fuck it all.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm glad steps are taken to educate kids on the ramifications that long term bullying can have on a kid. I'm not going to be an internet hardass and insist that it's the law of the jungle or nothing. It shouldn't be about kumbaya and making school into an episode of Glee, either. (more on that later)

The biggest problem is that these "anti-bullying" regulations in our schools usually include the worst possible of all additions: the "zero tolerance policy" for violence. When a kid gets his lunch money taken or his books thrown in the trash, it's usually under the threat of a beating. But now the threat isn't of being beaten up, it's of getting in trouble. A kid gives you crap, you can either fight them and you both get in trouble or take their crap.

And most bullying isn't noogies, wedgies or fisticuffs. It's ever more increasingly become the "mean girl" shit: exclusion, rumors and attacks on reputation, sabotage and shit like that. For boys and girls.

Between school shootings, facebook suicides and the mainstreaming of the LGBT community, the focus on bullying has some merit. Let's face it, these are the biggest concerns and in the last case (much like AIDS awareness) it's an unspoken understanding that it would just be better for everyone if we didn't bring that up. Don't call anybody a gay slur, not because it's hurtful but because they might actually be gay and it's extra-hurtful, I guess.





tl/dr- It's good to nip this shit in the bud but they're fucking it up as always.

One way to look at it is Bullying really shows our basic animal nature. It's predatory in that it generally involves choosing the "weak" among the herd. Whether singly or through pack mentality, the target is forced away from the safety and anonymity of the group by either pointing out their differences from the group to the point where their group of peers socially push them outside their collective protection and can then be picked off. In some cases, it's as simple as running them to ground in the form of physical intimidation.

The bullies can be likened to wolves looking for the weak or different in the herd to chase down and "feed" on. It's also about dominance and attempts to set a pack hierarchy.
