Media Buckley to Ariel: When fighters come on your show, you try to use us as weapons against the UFC with your platform, setting us up with questions

I don't know if I agree. Fans equal money. Ariel is part of the industry as his success is only possible because fans exist. I don't know what he did for fighters, at the end of the day, there's always some type of drama surrounding him. I think everything that is negative and speculative is a headline for him, never saw anything positive in tone coming out of his podcast, always negative and he will use whatever he can to create buzz. Without the fans there would be no Ariel.

Only recently has it been that way tbf.
I get your view though, no hate here sir.

After 18 years in the sport I don't exactly think it's too much to ask for Ariel to have a basic understanding of the sport to be able to look at say Max/Justin and be able to wonder and think about how Max, a guy who doesn't check leg kicks, is going to deal with Justin, who's known for his leg kicks.

You will never hear this kinda stuff from Ariel though because he

1) knows nothing about MMA and doesn't realize it's an interesting issue for the matchup
2) knows that doesn't get him more clicks so wouldn't ask it anyways if he did

Instead Ariel is going to ask them something like about the BMF belt and Max's comments that he wants Mark Coleman to wrap the belt around the winner's waist. There's a story and angle there he can "sell" beyond the matchup of two guys fighting, I don't know why we'd pretend he's not looking for one like so many people on here are trying to.

Ariel's not a straight laced reporter and journalist. That's fine, but it's why so many have called him and his fans out for pretending otherwise.

It's not too much to ask. It's just also not his job per se. It's also not an enormous opening in the market. There are literally dozens of analysts that home but exclusively cover analysis. And there are analysts who do interviews.

And if anybody doesn't enjoy his show that's fine. I don't watch it myself.

I just don't like a misinformed public pretending that he's supposed to be Joaquin Buckley's publicist as opposed to an interviewer serving an audience.

Who watches any other interviews really though. They are a total waste of time.

Not smart enough to outwit ... a question.
<31>

Ariel likes wwe, and asks soft-ball questions, because he is soft.

(seriously, who says with a straight face) "weaponize fighters" ... using basic questions

Yeah, let's stick to 300lbs of real journalism with corporate shill John Morgan.

American simps would gargle Elon, Trump, Peterson, Chael & Varner's balls
while blaming Ariel and Laura Sanko for making y'all gay.

Lawler wasn't out.

this shits been beaten to death, everyone knows what it is, who he is, how he feels about UFC/Dana etc. Its not a secret how he books guests, how he sets them up to take shots, how him and his team on that show and ringer mma show take shots at Dana/UFC every episode.

Its just not a secret but most people dont call him out over it. And its not that he doesnt ask legit questions that need to be asked at times but its just clear what his agenda is.

I listened to that mma ringer show for the first time in a while and it was after the class action suit was settled and they spent like 30 min complaining about how dejected they felt and how shitty this is for the sports and all that stuff. Then Ariel throws in the "Im not rooting for an outcome either way" like he's some unbiased journalist just covering facts like yeah you dont care if UFC wins the lawsuit. You just cried about how contracts wont change and they settled for such a small amount that wont even be a bump in the road for UFC but you arent rooting for an outcome. Why even dance around it or pretend at this point

How is Ariel Helwani being a retard, exactly? I'd love to hear this one. I expect it to be something ridiculous. It ALWAYS is.

I was more so talking about that chick asking about cyborgs energy. However, Ariel with the Tito/ bader conference did not do good in terms of showing his lack of knowledge to the skill sets

It says a lot that every big name fighter that isn’t apart of Ali’s team goes on his show

Ariel is a deceiving snake.

Dana is a petty manchild.

Buckley looks like an idiot coming on a show he's also trashing.

There, now lets move on.

Why is she dumb?
Because she's asking real questions?

They had to move an entire event on a weeks notice because he's a cheating pos.

It was a legit question that they sidestepped like true douchebags.
Cyborg was pissed because she had family up from Brazil that she couldn't take with her when they moved the event.

Every question was legit sir.
Why are you always correct sir?
