Buckley-Garry was originally scheduled for tonight...how would that have gone?

I used to be sus on Garry until his last several fights.

This would not be as easy as Covington that’s for certain

Any ideas? My guess is Garry wins like he did vs. MVP. He'd probably get some TDs as Buckley is dangerous to strike with for an entire fight. But Garry is 10 years younger than Colby, pretty fast and rangy. He either holds his own in the striking or at least survivies and does enough grappling to win the decision.
Colby couldn't get him down but you think Garry would?

Garry should fight at mw fucking 6 3 and a welterweight fuck off
Funny you say that, but disagree. He is skinny, but some guys are just small. Look back at the event in California where they have cage side weigh ins measuring weight gained. Garry is basically the only fighter that gained less than 7% of their weight.

Probably a boring decision victory where Ian Garry proudly spouts off about his "greatness" in the post fight interview despite him avoiding the fight most of the time just like he did with Geoff Neal.

Dude's got a very skinny and narrow frame. He's got that Dominick Cruz clavicle width.

I think Buckley could obviously land a big bunch and get the KO but it's not very probable that happens.

If I was in his camp I'd campaign for that fight to be 3 rounds. I do think he could implement a gameplan against Gary where he lands some takedowns to steal close rounds and pull off an upset like that. Buckley low key has some nice takedowns at WW.

Buckley is too small for Garry in my opinion and the only issue I had with the Buckley and Garry fight. Garry is a MW cutting weight while Buckley is a lightweight putting on weight
Ian Garry: 6'3 height, 74" reach
Joaquin Buckley: 5'10, 76" reach

Buckley is a normal height for WW and actually has the reach advantage (if you can trust ufcstats.com). And he's got a ton more muscle than Garry, for better and for worse. There isn't any particular size issue with this potential fight, which should be a good fight if it's three rounds or if Buckley has the tank for five.

I think Garry would have won, but they went separate directions and Buck won when Garry didn't, so Buckley should be passed him now. Garry should either take a winning guy below Buckley or a high ranked guy off a loss

Why would he, Shavkat is fighting the Champion and Ian Garry just lost. Buckley called out the right opponents who are available and ranked in top 5 & all champions. What are you trying to imply?
He did call out Belal though, he could have called out the Belal Shavkat winner. But I agree with you calling out the 2 former champs that are available is smart.

I would take Garry. Stay on the outside and pick him off shot by shot. Buckley would have his moments of bursts and power shots, but I'll take Garry by UD

How does Buckley pass the testing?

I pick the potentially roided guy
Steroids always win, heck, Jon made a career with steroids
So you first accuse him of roiding and then say he's potentially roiding.

I got to take the guy who KTFOd wonderboy on the feet and rearranged Colby's face. They both weren't in their prime but still very tough outs. He annihilated both of them.

Buckley by decision. Garry doesn't throw enough & has pillo-fists. He wouldn't be able to use his wrestling like he did vs MVP
