Media Bryce Mitchell outfunnies Theo von (imo)

It’s better than listening to a bunch of Jersey/NY guidos. That’s the accent that drives me crazy
They are both pretty bad lol although my wife has a very slight northern accent.

Also, appreciate the username! OG SpongeBob is the best. Sad that the newer seasons are such trash.

I can answer this broadly. The irony with comedians is alot of them are not Naturally Funny at all. They have to artificially craft there jokes thru several months of work. These jokes are thoroughly tested out by different crowds over long periods of time. By the end of a crafting period they end up with well tested material that makes then appear to be comedic genius. But most of them are throw shit at the wall until something sticks unfunny cans.

Go watch Rogans podcast with all his amazing comedy store friends that he hypes. You will see most of these comedy guest are not naturally funny and usually just fucken weird people. Usually the conversations will be about how amazing they are for being comedians and how brilliant they are lol.

To be fair. That's probably just Joe's click. All the talentless hacks have to stick together and stroke each other's egos. How else would we get larger than life personalities like Chris Delila, Joe Rogan, and that dumbfuck that has that Whiskey Ginger podcast? I'd also wager that these morons sitting in front of a Webcam for hours everyday also probably helps makes everything about their lives and personalities stale and bland as fuck.

One hundred percent agree as far as joes comedian friends. I'm always disappointed by his podcasts with his friends, almost non of them make me laugh, and usually just laugh at their own jokes.

I can't help but wonder If Joe feels disappointed in how little he gets normal guests to laugh.

I've never watched any of Theo Von's comedy, but I'll check him out sometime. I'm a huge standup fan, but there are so many comedians getting exposure that it's hard to keep track.

As for Bryce Mitchell, I have mixed feelings towards him. I'm born and raised in a Southern state, and I'm happy for guys that come from this region and are successful. Plus, he seems like a good dude. On the other hand, I have a feeling that he plays up his "Southerness" a lot in interviews, and that gets under my skin. Enough people think we're dumb rednecks as it is.
Not gonna lie that's how ibssw the south too for half my life lmao. Until my cousins moved to some tiny suburb in Georgia. I went to visit and man i can't tell you how badly I've wanted to move diwn there ever since. I love it

This. Seems like a good dude and all but outfunny’ing him is hardly an accomplishment
He's got the personality to put himself out to the public. Iirc he started on Road Rules. Sure p4p he's not the funniest person and his humor doesn't apply to everyone. He's got a fast mind and seems to have plenty of jokes at his disposal, whatever he ends up talking about in those open podcasts

Joe was never funny though.

Oh yeah, the band episode or the episode where SpongeBob and Squidward think Mr Krabs is a robot...I'd put that shit up there with South Park level animated comedy
So many good ones. And endless quotes, lol. Every time someone in my family is walking in the dark they have to use their best Patrick voice “wee-hoo, wee-hoo”

Comedy is subjective.

I think Theo is hilarious. He's a great story teller and has had an absolutely insane life.

His has a pretty short special called "30 lb bag of hamster bones" thats pretty funny, but really his best stuff is when he's podcasting with someone else funny.

Watch his when he has Bill Burr on there.
Bill rips him a nice little reality asshole.

I like Bill Burr a lot, but thought he kinda came off as a dick on that episode. Same with when he was on H3H3.

Nah he was just being what comics...real comics are...ball breakers.
Theo simply couldn't hack it.

Bill was only being honest, and that's how it comes off when you're from Boston.
People think we're mad when it's just the way we talk.

Why would you lump NJ and NY together as if they’re one and the same? NJ is where NY goes to party in the summer bc the beaches are better and it’s less crowded. New Jerseyans don’t even like New Yorkers, and we even have a slang term for them. Our accents are totally different; think Tony Soprano vs. Andrew Dice Clay- it’s about as similar as a Texas accent compared to South Carolina.
Lastly, the cast of that stupid TV show “Jersey Shore” was mostly New Yorkers. Hespect.

He’s definitely not an A-Lister, but I’d say he’s for sure a celebrity. He’s had a lot of big guests in his podcast (mostly from the comedy circle). A quick glance it looks like all white people lol.
Fuck, all whites? Damn someone should do something about that!

They might sound slightly different, but they’re equally obnoxious to my ears.

Well Theo is just a fake dumb southern character, essentially a modern Larry the cable guy. Can’t stand guys that latch onto a character and never let go
