Sometimes in life you just need to STFU. You are referring to what I believe to be the slippery slope method but the thing here is there needs to be a separation between opinion and facts. He was wrong and there are consequences for being wrong. Name me any credible history class in the world that teaches about Hitler and World War 2 and if anyone said what Bryce did they would and should fail the class. No questions asked.

I get what you're saying but saying dumb shit has consequences and no one should be defending stupidity. This is the same guy who did the "research" and after all his "research" he believes the Bible word for word, he does not believe in seatbelts, he believes in a flat Earth and now that Hitler was a 'good guy'. You look at it as censoring his opinions but I look at it similar to my history analogy. If a history or science teacher went to a class and taught the same thing Bryce believes in they would never be able to teach in any public or private school in the country (possibly even the world) except maybe Arkansas, and those same teachers would lose their livelihoods not because of their opinion but because they were wrong.

The problem is the draconian enforcement of ideals and history. Having the power of the narrative is precisely how the nszis enforced and gained their power. Your concept is great because it aligns with yours ( and mine ) version of history. It doesnt mean that very same logic wont be aligned with heinous or stupid ideas at a later date. . Ie slavery. The Nazis looted and burned the contents of the Institute library (Hirschfeld was a very well known Jewish figure in Berlin).

Let me be clear. I don't want him silenced but the point I was trying to make is stupidity has consequences. I can say I don't believe in seatbelts but I can also refer to Derrick Thomas, a former Linebacker with the Chiefs, and see what happened to him when he didn't wear a seatbelt. Difference of opinion is just fine and happens all the time but opinion and facts are two different things. Bryce can think Hitler was a 'good guy' but the fact is he is wrong. I saw a response from Sean Strickland about this and when Sean Strickland is the voice of reason between those two people you know there's a problem here. On a side note, there should be plenty of confidence that Nazi's are shit human beings and Hitler was a terrible human being.

the events of the holocaust are not personal opinions. they are a historical fact. lying about them is historical revision and is always done with the agenda of normalizing nationalistic / racist bullshit. there is absolutely no reason why people who hold abhorrent views and spread hateful misinformation should not face consequences. if you want to be a monumental dickwad, society will shun you. and rightfully so.

a tolerant society needs to have no tolerance for intolerance. it's framed as a paradox, but it really isn't.

Yeah I watched that. I was surprised but not surprised. Some things do go too far imo. Surprised Ari Emmanuel (Jewish CEO of Endeaver) didn't apply some pressure. I have a feeling he may get some unfavorable matchups and get cut tho.

It's more about working for a company that you are bound. Saying I hate black people and wish them enslaved again when my boss is black may cost me my job. People are ultimately free to say what they want but there may be consequences for that. The company said it will let him stay so that's that but it doesn't mean that they couldn't take action either.

Do you think antisemitism flourishes because it’s condemned or when it gets ignored? People like him have a right to express themselves. They should also be roundly mocked and exposed for such opinions. It’s not only our right to do so but our duty.
