Your position on the holocaust doesn’t exactly make me value your opinion on the topic……..That’s hilarious if you truly believe that.

That’s fine.Your position on the holocaust doesn’t exactly make me value your opinion on the topic……..
And at least, while I really (obviously) don’t agree with your views in this thread, you are at least pleasant. Weirdly. That’s fine.
It makes no difference to me.
8 billion people in this world. I’m sure you’d feel that way about many and vice versa.
Good point but I said why would you be OK if Germans knew that London and French resistance people are being killed but not be OK if same thing happened to jews are jews more important to care about then French or brit resistance fighter or whatWhat would you think about a group of people, knowing fully that their gov/military was committing a mass genocide of one group of citizens after the fact after all evidence has been made available, still supported the actions of their government?
It’s okay brother…
We are all human. Normal people just want to live a good life, work hard, make some money, enjoy life with their family and friends.
I grew up in Philly, surrounded by every culture and religion known to man. We were
Yea I have a hard time believe an entire nation was just awful. It’s not statistically possible.
That sounds like the kool-aid they give you.
That's not the new twist you think it is, Prof. Goebbels.I can’t post the real evidence but it’s all over X.
Killing innocent people is terrible - regardless of race, gender or religion.
It was back in the day and it still holds true today.
I don’t place any special emphasis on Jews. They’re the same as Rwandans, Armenians and every other ethnicity who has faced injustice at some point in there history.
If someone told you they didn’t believe the Rwandan Genocide never happened - nobody would be crying a river like this.
I’m more concerned about the actual genocide going on in Palestine right now than someone’s feelings and opinions on a war that happened back in the 40’s.
It’s because I’m a grown man.And at least, while I really (obviously) don’t agree with your views in this thread, you are at least pleasant. Weirdly.![]()

Statistically speaking - it’s impossible for the majority to be terrible. The German people knew a lot about the Holocaust, probably more than some like to admit. The idea that they had no clue how bad things really were just doesn’t hold up. Sure, they may not have seen the gas chambers in action, but they knew, as much as any population can know what their government is up to, that mass extermination was happening on an industrial scale.
They saw Jews being rounded up and sent to ghettos. They noticed when those ghettos started getting emptied. They had sons and daughters who knew about the death camps. They were well aware of the labor camps. You can’t secretly move 11 million people and expect no one to ask questions about where they went or why they weren’t coming back. While it’s hard to point at any single person and say, "You definitely knew," it’s pretty safe to say that, as a society, there’s no way they didn’t.
Now, how much they supported it or went along with it is a whole different conversation and that’s really where most of the debate is today. Some people were active participants, some were passive, and others may have just tried to look the other way. But the idea that it was all happening in secret just doesn’t hold up.
Did you miss my follow up post??Statistically speaking - it’s impossible for the majority to be terrible.
I’ll give you an example:
Many in the world currently say Israel is committing a genocide in Palestine as we speak. Many also say the majority of citizens support their government.
Would you say everyone in Israel is awful?
That’s statistically impossible.
Maybe…Did you miss my follow up post??
Maybe…
This website is fucked these days and I popped an edible![]()
Jesus H ChristEven the stuff he said about the American Japanese was bad. That not only was it right to put them in internment then, but it wasn't that bad and that if they're in that situation again they should do it again.
This is a good post and while it's likely true, you have to also believe people were scared to speak out and didn't want to be a part of the 11 million getting sent away.I get what you’re saying. It’s hard to believe a whole nation could just go along with something as horrific as genocide. But the truth is, this kind of thing has happened more than once, and it’s not just some theory. It’s real history.
Look at Rwanda in 1994. The mass killings of the Tutsi population weren’t done in secret. People knew. There were radio broadcasts straight-up telling people to go out and kill their neighbors. Entire communities took part. Others stood by and let it happen.
Same thing in the Balkans during the 90s. Towns and villages saw people getting rounded up and sent to camps or executed. This wasn’t just soldiers acting behind closed doors. Regular people were aware, and some even helped make it happen. Others just didn’t do anything to stop it.
Even right now in China, millions of Uyghurs are being detained in camps. This isn’t some hidden conspiracy. People inside the country know. Some justify it. Some ignore it. Some pretend it’s not happening because it’s easier that way.
The idea that "normal people" couldn’t have known about the Holocaust just doesn’t hold up. History keeps showing us that mass atrocities don’t happen in total secrecy. People always know more than they admit. Not everyone is actively involved, but silence and looking the other way help make these things possible.
It’s not about saying every German citizen was a monster. It’s about facing the fact that a lot of people knew and still let it happen. It’s not some crazy idea. It’s just how people have reacted to genocide throughout history, over and over again.
Even the stuff he said about the American Japanese was bad. That not only was it right to put them in internment then, but it wasn't that bad and that if they're in that situation again they should do it again.
