Brock Lesnar: "I was humbled by Frank [Mir]"

Brock era was so fun for HW division, it's a shame we only had such a short time with Brock as an active HW fighter. He did so much with the little time he had.

I looked it up and these are his bros.

You sure these are not both the same bro ? Both seem to have scars in their eye brow, Same position. Both lazy eye etc.
Still it's one of them at the very least

Brock would've won the 1st fight had the dumbass ref not interfered midway when Brock was pounding Mir. All because of one mild shot to back of the head which was clearly unintentional. Totally ruined his momentum.

I totally agree with you in all facets here, barring one thing; I don’t know if I would call any shots Brock was throwing “mild”. Frightening ground and proud! Frank a got a sweet taste of it in the rematch

Brock seems more relaxed than usual and pretty much an exact cliche of how he comes across " lets kick ass and go Bow huntin' with Vike-Hawks and Cowboy hats!!"

Those other guys are a joke -like coked up frat boys standing up in jersey shore t-tops and hang on his every word "Yo Bro! Ohio!! YEAH!! F'n Badass!!!!!!" - holy F is this journalism now...
Pat McAfee is a commentator for the WWE. They aren't journalists....its a podcast that talks about sports and has a lot of good guests on.

They actually donate a lot of money and all around seem to be genuine good people. You sound like a hater.

Ha. Watched part of it. Came away liking Brock which I never thought would happen and really hating the idiot interviewing him.

Great interview. Everyone loves Pat lol
This guy gets around . I'm not a pro wrestling guy but was channel surfing - was that him dancing on top of desk on wrestling program ?
It sure looked like him ( if I'm wrong)

And then Frank was humbled by Brock despite Brock not knowing the names of the intricacies of the details of maneuvers Frank had been working on. He just gave him a good old fashion behind the barn pounding from half guard

That was one of the worst calls in UFC history. Not even a warning, straight to the points taken away. Mazzagatti was a nice guy, but a terrible and incompetent referee.

Ehh I'm glad it happened this way. His redemption against frank was probably one of the biggest statement wins I've ever seen. Must better story arch.

Honestly didn’t know he was a pro wrestling guy until recently. I know him from his football days. His podcast comments on all sports, but mostly NFL.

Brock is an outlier. It is amazing that he fought Mir in his second fight? He isn't some all time great but he was fun when he was there.
He is definitely an all time great and still a top 10 HW right now. Who else can come in and win the ufc hw belt in less than a year? cro cop certainly couldnt even come close lol

I am not going to lie. I didn't like him because of the pro wrestling stuff. He earned my respect as a MMA fighter when he beat Randy, Mir and Carwin. It was fun to see a giant HW with a little bit cardio

I dont get why people make such a big deal about his pro wrestling background, PLENTY of mma fighters do pro wrestling, ken shamrock, don frye, dan severn and even cain and mir, who cares he did pro wrestling? the guy is a national champion wrestler.

It was the loud personality and perceived lack of respect to current MMA fighters. Frank Mir is a big scalp for your first UFC fight. MMA back then wasn't that loud.

The point in the end didn't matter, but stopping it and standing them up certainly did.

Rewatching it, it was probably one of the worse calls, he did land one, perhaps two to the back of the head, but while Mir was moving and Brock readjusted his punches right away, it was all within like 4 seconds,a nd in no way deserved as harsh a punishment considering what people have gotten away with a hundred times. Def uncalled for IMHO

Taking away a point might have been a little much, but it didn't effect the outcome. Hitting someone in the back of the head and having the fight stop should happen. People complain when it isn't stopped in other fights.
