Brock Lesnar: "I was humbled by Frank [Mir]"

Brock is like the steroid era baseball players. A lot of fun to watch but a huge asterisk.

I aint hattin its just that It's unfair to associate Brock's name to steroids since almost all athletes in every pro sports does something. While he himself is a juicer, I do think he doesn't do it every time like an addict.

First Mir loss was a fluke let’s be honest. Fight was seconds away from being stopped

Brock tries so hard to come across as a tough guy when Prime Fedor and Ngannou (both of whom would have KO’d Brock in seconds) don’t try to act tough in public at all.

Brock is a textbook example of a man insecure with his masculinity. Sort of sad really.

I never expected Brock brothers to look like this.

<{Joewithit}>

The first one is definitely Germanic. The second one is a bit of a surprise, I agree. Maybe he would look more like a traditional Germanic guy if he had his hair.

Brock Lesnar and his brother used to pound each other in the farm, Joe.

Later on he says he practiced kneebars extensively with Comprido his BJJ coach, and Frank still got him.

Lesnar would have beat Mir if not for the ref. The same thing happened to Nog the second time. Mir was going to get pounded out but he always ducks his head and exposes his neck, which would be suicide in a real fight but it exploits the crappy rules so he turns his neck into a punch and the refs stops it or warns you about the punch. Mir is very good, and dangerous in certain positions, but when you are punching him on the ground he just takes it until the ref saves him with a bad call or he is out.

Funny story, I was training one time and I ended up on the ground and my training partner was punching me like that and I was just tired and getting hit. My brother said "You are acting like Frank Mir", which I knew meant just taking a beating and not doing anything. The second he said that I got a second wind and burst out of there. So, Frank Mir's mistakes saved me that day lol

Brock is an outlier. It is amazing that he fought Mir in his second fight? He isn't some all time great but he was fun when he was there.

He definitely fought a murderer's row. He only had 1 fight that wasn't against a killer and even that guy wasn't bad for a first fight. He had some advantages like size, supplements, and being rich so he could train with top coaches for 1.5 years before getting into MMA, but it's still impressive.

Prime Mir was awesome !

Must feel weird getting interviewed by this guy. You’re sitting there while this dude is standing on a platform, hes never sitting down, seems coked out of his mind, and is constantly yelling at you.
Lol first thing I thought too, dude is coked the fuck out

I aint underestimating him still, Mir didnt even knocked out Brock with a clean jumping knee while as Cro cop got knocked by mir with a casual knee so..

I know most of the people in here disliked Brocks run in the UFC but i quite enjoyed it. It was fun while it lasted.
Damn straight it was, the fact that Brock was beating decorated fighters like Herring & Mir in less than two years into his MMA career is insane, it's going to be a long time before we ever see something like that ever happen again.

Uhhh DC basically did everything Brock did except he was way better at it?

I still don't get why the need to associate his name to tainted supplements, he is a user for sure, but he doesn't do it consistently like an addict all the time, also almost everyone on a pro level does it. Besides Brock aint rich back in the late 90's though.

Brock lives in remote Canada and spends his time farming and hunting with his kids ... thats as low key as it gets.

If Brock were insecure he'd be on instagram bragging about being "street" and sucker punching people like Masvidal does

Somewhat yeah, he had a more lineal progression with opposition and was active in martial art / combat sport competition prior to mma.
