I know most of the people in here disliked Brocks run in the UFC but i quite enjoyed it. It was fun while it lasted.

I enjoyed it. Sucks his career was as short as it was though.

i admit i thought Brock was just an oaf when he was coming to the UFC. i knew he was a good amateur wrestler but i thought he'd gas and be a clumsy oaf and everything else that comes along with being gigantic. i was wrong obviously and i ended up enjoying his run in the UFC. i really liked the 2nd Mir fight, i was amazed at how he nullified all of Mir's ground game with a half nelson and his enormous size and strength.

As far as I can remember it’s the only time I’ve seen a ref stop a fight and take a point for back of the head strikes. I know Sakara ktfo Patrick Cote with an onslaught of them and got dq’d but I can’t remember a ref ever stopping a fight and taking a point for them other than Mir/Lesnar.

It was not the first or only time a ref stopped a fight for shots in the back of the head. Taking a point had no effect on the outcome.

Name another time it happened. I legit can’t think of one. I remember Herb Dean warned Big Nog not to hit Mir in the back of the head during their rematch, but he didn’t stop the fight or take a point.
