I didn't see if it was mentioned yet or not but does anyone remember the meme during the election that trump can't be all bad because he raised such wonderful kids?

Of course he is. There's a video on the 1st page that implies that because the guy is a publicist/producer/whatever that he couldn't be an agent...as if agents must fit some stereotypical look and mien. That would defeat the purpose. Similarly, that the emails were so open being a sign that they weren't attempts at collusion is equally flawed. Perhaps the emails were so open so that they could be easily leaked later.

The game plan, from my understanding of the last few months, was not just to hurt HRC (who they assumed would win) but to undermine the U.S. election process and credibility. That would mean putting dirt on everyone because you never know when you'll need it.

I think it's reasonable to wonder to what extent some of these leaks damaging Trump are also Russian in source because this story cuts America's election credibility both ways.

It was a reaction the the namesake's actions.

I don't think many people have very publicly and brazenly broken it since.

Like most things it's a matter of political will.

From what I've read, most people who have violated the Logan Act, we didn't find out till way after and no one cared.
 
So legally the issues we're are looking at..

1.Does it matter whether he was given information or not?

2. Was POTUS aware?
 
The word treason gets thrown around far too much on these forums. Did the meaning change or something?

In the end of the day teflon Don will get out of this and Jared and Donald Jr. will have to leave their connections and created positions within the White House. But I am glad I was not disappointed by a lack of but Hillary emails. That being said both parties are corrupt messes so this will turn out to be a non issue.

Being a publicist/producer/celeb agent is perfect cover to be a spy in that you have cover to be travelling all over the world and meeting power players.

And Tillerson stated at G20 that no relax in sanctions until Russia leaves Ukraine. That had to sting Russia.

What if Clinton had got dirt on Trump from the Saudis, do you think that would be fair game as well as long as it was true? Is that really appropriate?

Rumor is Jr. was called Diaper Don in college because he passed out drunk everywhere and pissed himself.
