No way Trump gets in trouble for this unless they have an email of him saying so. Since he doesn't even know how to use computers, I dont see this happening. There are a lot of dots to connect, but he can simply say he had no idea it happened.

I don't think that makes Trump, Jr. dumb or suggests that he lacks foresight but if you don't play this game regularly then you're going to get taken for a ride in the beginning. It certainly didn't help that he was seemingly surrounded by people who were doing similar stuff but with greater understanding of the consequences.

The law and my limited experience with politics are nowhere near that level of complexity and even now I'm surprised by the depth of the games within games over seeming minutia that politics deals with and even the law, known for it's love of minutia, doesn't come near.

Yeah, I get what you mean.
But being contacted by some Music producer that has info from the Russian government.
Especially considering how delicate the hacking issue was already.
I would have been very careful. And I am just some idiot trying to shitpost on Sherdog.
And not one of the main guys in a presidential campaign.

Of course, all just speculation what if's. I don't know if I would have handled it different or better.
But one of my thoughts would also have been that it was a trick from the Hillary campaign.
Trying to get me to admit Trump campaigns takes info from the Russian. :-)

Yeah, but it's still a long shot. There is tension between the US and Russia but nothing that you could call "dispute."

It'll certainly discredit Trump even further with the public but I don't think anything further will occur.

In all honesty, it's looking more like some kind of espionage.

Technically, however, sanctions would be considered a dispute.

We're disputing Russia's occupation and claim of Ukraine and Crimea.

Well no Nazi ever commited treason so :).

But on topic, it's probably not treason because the US is not in actual war with the Russian.
Otherwise collaborating with a hostile foreign government to undermine a political opponent comes pretty close. (if that is how the chips fall here).
Different times now but in the past, you would have probably been shot for that.

How does "espionage" even enter your train of thought?

It's opposition research. He's not exactly spying on the nuclear program for the Russians.

That's maybe the post that shows the sign of brainwashing on this matter more than any other I have ever seen. They have you saying THIS, to believe their narrative.

The battle is in trade. The thing we have to watch out for that will definitely, obviously, destroy us, is those destroying is with unfair trade.
