Gowdy said there is no proof of anything in the emails. He was angry that they didn't tell Robert Mueller about it. However, no one knows if they actually told Mueller or not. Mueller hasn't commented on the story.

I can agree that up until now there's been precious little substance to this story, but this could end up being the smoking gun.

I've previously considered Mueller's investigation to be scarcely better than a fishing expedition, but now he's got some real work to do.
