I'm not Arman fan (most armo fighters annoy me). This is just objectivity.

The most likely scenario is that his back has been injured either before or during the camp and the pain probably comes and goes. With the likely decision to wait and see how his body reacts close to fight time. And it just so happe s that it's flairing up now.

If it's not that then ya it's probably some bullshit/ mistake in cutting weight or something like that.

Title fights are hard to get so I'd give the benefit of the doubt before jumping to the worst conclusion possible.

This. Most of the children on these forums are understandably throwing a tantrum at the fight being cancelled but at these elite level in this age of sport, every detail and inches makes a difference. I strongly suspect Arman had a back injury as he looked dejected int he pre-fight press conference, and was waiting to see how it feels as fight day approaches. What's more unnerving is he complete lack of apologies by Arman to his fans, the UFC and Islam's team.

Beneil as a fighter is not a bad substitute for Islam, so Moicano should be good. It’s not like he was preparing for a striker and now he has to fight a grappler. Also, he apparently anticipated this and has been working with Southpaws this camp. Islam will also have to adjust as well, that camp is heavy on tailored game plans.

Islam has only defended his title once against a legitimate lightweight contender with actual wins in the division, and that was a past prime Dustin Poirier.

Islam needed this fight badly, maybe he would've lost or maybe he would've won. But he is lacking in legitimate title defenses.

if it is a severe injury than nobody is to blame, shit happens. But first and foremost Islam is definately not the one to put any blame on. He is a scary fighter and beats everybody they throw at him.
