Alex by KO but I hope Ank takes it or at least gets a rematch if he losses by decision.

This time Poatan is determined to let his hands go, which of course leads to him actually being put on his back.

Ank will hold him down long enough to tire him out, so when the next round starts, Poatan will be exhausted and will get taken down easily again, and this time Ank starts landing GnP and gets the ref stoppage. Fight ends in the 4th.

I love Poatan and want him to win, but realistically, I think the scenario above happens.

As much as it pains me to say so as a Poatan fan, I think Ank may win again, unless Alex opens up WAY more. But it feels like Ank kind of just has the style to stifle Alex and shut him down.

I will go with Ank decision or possible tko.

But I would be ecstatic to see Poatan spark him out and prove me wrong.

I'm going with Poatan, late 2nd/early 3rd TKO. Honest Abe fought the perfect fight last time and while I think he can do it again, I don't expect to see the same Pereira this go around. He wasn't right last time and his corner was useless. I don't see where Ankalaev can even improve on his last outing vs Alex, but if Honest Abe expects a simple rinse and repeat, I think he's going to get chin-checked. If Ankalaev doesn't starch Alex and can run it back and fight like he did last time, we're going to see how fickle MMA fans can be. Casuals don't give a shit about a fighter being technical and sound.

Either way, hopefully whoever walks away with that belt on Saturday takes a page out of Merab's playbook and fights often. If Alex wins and vacates the belt to go to HW, I'll be a fan for life.

Ngl I thought the owl's "no chama" during faceoff was funny. He still getting KO'd.

Chama.

I think it’s a situation where Pereira’s path to victory also makes me him more vulnerable. He needs to be more aggressive and worry less about the takedown. But in doing so, he’s going to leave more opportunities for Ankalaev.

Ankalaev looked to be a bit quicker and is a good counter striker. It’s also going to open up possibilities for takedowns. Pereira has also shown to get caught when he gets overly aggressive. Don’t get me wrong, Pereira is fully capable of knocking anybody out, but I just see the likelihood of him getting in trouble as higher than the likelihood of finding a KO with the approach he should take if he wants to win. But again, his threat is known, it’s far from impossible that he finds the shot he needs.

just re watched the first fight
ankalaev damaged poatans calfs as well

ankalaev will tire him out maybe a tko in the late rounds
