Boxers losing in streetfights?

My opinion of the martial arts/boxing in a street fight:

Every fight I've ever seen starts off with wild-ass WorldStar style haymakers, or shitty "Bully-Grab" grappling. Any trained boxer could handle that situation effectively. Any trained grappler could handle that situation effectively. Training means a lot.

The idea that being a trained, competitive, full contact fighter of ANY style is a disadvantage to being a untrained drunk shithead who watches fights on TV is fucking retarded.

I'd use my mad kickboxing skills if I was allowed to warm up and then to stretch for at least 20 minutes.

Of course in a street fight there are possibly conditions that make it not conducive to use pure boxing, but the same can be said for any martial art.

IMO having some background in boxing would give an average person the best chance to land the first strike in a street fight, and that could be all you need against someone with no training.

who said the quote from your sig?

Not only slippin and blocking but also accuracy and dealing with the fear of being in a fight, most untrained people arent able to dealing with the fear Learn a bit a wrestling with your boxing and your all set for the streets. And dont overtrain mfs can catch you slippin lol
