Bruh, Putin's reign is what happens when the deep state decides to take over. There is no deep state aside from Putin's cronies, they are the deep state.
 
Everyone seems to think espionage is violence. There was a great interview with a former kgb operative awhile back. He said the majority of the money spent was to try destabilise USA and make it so the us was unable to tell the difference between truth and fiction in the news.

there is always the possibility for deviation from the official strategy in any large country with a large military and intelligence organization, is all im saying. DC and moscow could be horse trading right now about what to do. if moscow admits it happened but says it was rogue operatives, DC has to decide if that is sincere, and what kind of reaction is warranted at that point. "friendly fire" is too generous a term for this scenario but intent matters. if the UK kills US forces in iraq accidentally, its not an act of war. paying a bounty is purposeful, but the question remains if this was fully sanctioned or not. if intelligence groups get a slush fund and use discretion to spend it on bounties, that specific action might not be sanctioned.

If I remember correctly there was not many American deaths in last few years so ether the Afghans didn’t take the bounties or they were never offered as it obviously didn’t work

Putin runs such a tight ship over there that I find it very hard to believe there would be such rogue elements in his government. And anyway this sounds like exactly the kind of thing Putin would do. If he didn't make the decision himself I bet it was made by an underling with a general directive that this course of action was supposed to work towards.

And you don't think this is the kind of story a strong president a president who as claimed to be tougher on Russia than any living president should get out in front of so it doesn't gain any legs. Stand before cameras & mics let the troops know, their families know, the American people know, the world know, it's not true. And if Russia or any leg of Russia is even contemplating such a action what will reign down on them if one US troop is killed for bounty, instead you get this days after the story is running wild ↓↓↓
