The BMF belt is not the main prize. "Being chosen to Fight For it" is in itself the main prize. Its an honorary acknowledgement of a lifetime of grit & throwing down in fights.

So if the BMF belt holder loses to someone who has not earned his BMF status, teh belt does not change hands.

It's odd to me how many people don't get that.

I think they should just allow non-sanctioned fights over the BMF belt at any given time, 24/7 - just find a ref and start swinging at the current title holder until someone is finished.

Since it doesn't matter, I don't see why they can't use experimental rules with the belt.

BMF fights should have a 1-hour time limit, no rounds and only ends from submission or KO/TKO.

If they want to keep them striking heavy, add a timer until standup when it hits the ground.
