If we were going to pretend this is a real thing: It can be defended, just against other BMF's.

For instance, Charles vs Justin ended up with Charles stripped and unable to win the belt. Justin could win it in the same fight, but Charles couldn't. Why? Well, since his weigh-in was above 155, he was not fighting as a lightweight champion, so he did not meet the requirements for challenging for the belt.

And it's that same exact reason that Ilia could not win the BMF title from Max.
