I was glad they cut out a lot of humor
yeah it had a more serious tone similar to Winter Soldier, but that did make the obvious jokes/humor more jarring & cringe. I think the movie would’ve been much better off if they cut the bad jokes & kept Klaw’s generally humorous personality/behavior. fortunately I enjoyed everything else enough to not really be bothered by the dumb jokes.

I bought a ticket for the movie today, but accidentally took a nap and didn't wake up in time loll

Jesus, you're going to cling to this like a motherfucker, aint'cha?
You did respond to me how many times in the other thread? Always playing the dumb card. I'm calling your bluff. or educating you. Which ever is less effort. You're not alone. And it's not over.

I went to it, meh it was ok, I don’t really like those movies though.

Just saw a little video talking about some of the actor's ages.
Chadwick Boseman is 40~! I thought the dude was younger than that.
And Lupita is 35.
Basset is 59!
Black don't crack.

I am wary of this movie being put onn a pedestal. Not seeing it in theaters - I have a busy schedule now. But it has 7.8 IMDB score, and Russian review site Kinopoisk has it at 6.79. I guess we were not touched by political subtext, lol.

This movie is a solid 8 at least.

Definitely better than all but the top tier Marvel movies.

I hold my judgement till I see it with my own eyes, I have seen many good opinions and many, well, not bad, but many people think it's rating is overblown.

Also I hate how movies are rated nowadays, every half-desent flick gets at least a 6. People have a 1-10 scale but use only 6-10? well that's stupid. 99% movies with 5.0 IMDB score would be utter trash, when it should be a rating for a medium-quality movie.

Well if you use it like a grading scale, 5 and below is terrible, 6 is barely watchable, 7 is average, and above that is good to great.

Honest question, why do you think WiT did poorly in the box office? Your thread assumed it would be because the director's commitment to diversity would lead to sub-optimal casting. Is that still your assumption?

Saw it last night.

Was very good but not great.

I really liked how it was and more in close story which gave it a different tone in the rest of the Marvel movies. My biggest issue with the movie was that the action scenes lacked sense of style. It all seemed pretty cut and dry nothing really drew me in and nothing really stood out.

I really wish that they did not kill claw as he was a wonderful character which should have been interwoven in the remainder of the MCU.

I also thought boseman looked a little soft for BP.

More or less. They had something of an ulterior motive with just about everyone involved. That motive took the front seat instead of great story telling.

I see it made $33 million and we all know how movies plummet after their 1st weekend. That said, next time, perhaps they shouldn't push this pc shit in audience's faces because even those that may had blindly went to see the movie from knowing the book, changed their course once they saw the featurette/behind the scenes as I did.

I already see a variety of YouTube reviews acknowledging what I'd call obvious and what you'd call crazy.

Curious...remind me what the #1 movie was that week again?

Cap 1
Thor 1 and 2
Both Hulks
Gotg2
IM 2 and 3
Ant-Man
Avengers 2

Off the top of my head.

Fuck. I'd rather watch, from your list, ant man, gotg2, thor....oh wait, ragnorok was 3. Maybe avengers 2 cuz I've not seen it since the 1st time.

I suppose your list is accurate enough.
