Media Blachowicz: Chimaev will win over Pereira at LHW

Khamzat made his Promotional debut 1.5 years earlier than Alex and had more promotional hype behind him.

The route Alex took to the MW title was also available to Khamzat. Yet KC has chosen to keep fighting smaller guys at WW while struggling mightily to make weight SOME of the time.
Must be a reason for that.

All I know is Khazmat didn't want that fight at 205 soo he atleast doesn't think he wins convincingly.

A guy with the realistic possibility to beat both the current WW and MW champs right now is 'overrated'?

It's kind of sad that you don't recognize the talent available to you at this point in time in the sport
Anybody can beat anyone on any given night regardless as to who. Khamzat nuthuggers are hyping him to astronomical levels and when the day he loses, hilarity will ensue and you lot will abandon him as quick as you all became nuthuggers.

"You"

It's funny how people just generalize the opinion and actions of a whole group of separate people based on one idea they share

Not true

Khamzat didn't beat Adesanya twice in another combat sport

chimaev during one of his last interviews said that right now he weights 205 on the dot. So he definitely won't be cutting any weight at LHW. If I remember correctly, he said that in camp he is at 195.
Also said he could make 170 lbs and was 178.5 but sure let's take him at his word at how tiny he is.

well, he made 170 before, and was in process of making it again, but doctors forbid it from happening due to health concerns. I don't really see why he coudn't make it again.

Pereira got pushed quickly up the rankings because of his history with Izzy
Come off it. They literally tried to feed him the corpse of Luke Rockhold to fast track him into a MW contender.

Poatan got pushed up the rankings so quickly because there were no fresh faces at MW. That was in part due to the fact that Chimaev hadn't taken a MW fight in over 2 years now. Even though he has missed weight twice at WW during that time.

And Khamzat chose to fight at WW despite the fact that he was here first and there were fewer legit contenders at MW.

He made WW a grand total of 1 time in front of anything resembling a proper Athletic Commission.

Poatan was the chosen one to be pushed, plenty of fighters the UFC could push at MW with generous matchups

Pereira's history with Izzy was the driving factor

Didn’t Khamzat get rocked by Gilbert Burns a couple of fights ago? Now he’s going to win fights at 205?

so you saying that nobody else can use a scale? Was there a reason to shield Khamzat in some barely known mma orgs?

They quite literally tried to push Chimaev at the MW Title before Poatan even signed with the UFC. They offered him the ghost of Rockhold multiple times and he declined. Instead choosing to miss weight and have an advantage over WW's that included former LW's. It looks like they went and got Alex because Chimaev wasn't up to the task at MW. It was his choice to fight WW's. And it is your choice to remain oblivious to the fact that he was ahead of Alex in line at MW, and didn't want anything other than the talk.

Silly take

He appeared to be slightly rocked from a headbutt, but got the takedown 1 second later. So it wasn't too bad, not like Whittaker getting TKOd by Wonderboy or anything. Being less depleted at higher weight could bode well for his chin.

LOL. Khamzat got rocked by little Gilbert. Alex knocks his block off, especially at 205.
