Canelo is one of the only fighters I've seen whose power has increased up the weight classes.

I was dubious of his power back in the day, when he could barely put a dent in Matthew Hatton, Ndou, and a bit later couldn't really hurt Cotto either.

But it's safe to say he's a legit puncher at 160+. If you don't like Canelo much fine, but you'd have to be delusional to claim he's not a puncher. He's an explosive little tank at this weight.

Using Golovkin as an example, really? The same Golovkin who has never been down, or stopped, or hurt by a punch in his entire career?

3 of his most recent 4 wins have come by destruction with 1 punch, with the sole exception being a huge super middleweight who was on his bike the entire fight.

And yesterday he literally caved a guy's face in with 1 punch in boxing gloves. Again, you'd have to be completely delusional at this stage to think Canelo is not a puncher.

I bet one of em's an orbital floor fracture. One of my brothers got suckered punched and I saw him the next day. It looked a bit different but BJS's injury looks like that, higher up on the cheek but not on the top of the eye/eyebrow. Was nasty he had blood in his eyeball, looked like the whites of his eye was half red.

Wonder if bjs looks like that now... I'm obv no doc or anything but my brother had a procedure and was out the same day fwiw.

Obv I don't want him to have permanent damage or anything but it's hard not to see major karma in this after what he said about Dubois. So don't die BJ but I hope it fucking hurts for awhile.

Seriously though, Saunders ran into that same shot a bunch in the fight.
Kind of reminded me of Cotto vs Paulie. Paulie was a good fighter but he was just a step or two below Cotto. The slickness he had against guys like Edner Cherry seemed more one dimensional vs Cotto. We saw the same thing with Saunders. He just kept doing the same thing over and over that usually worked against lesser opponents but Canelo figured out in a couple of rounds. That was all he had.
