BJJ, Strength & Air Traffic Control

365 for 3-5 triples on 2-minute intervals.

 Why not. Though after this, definitely need to get into a routine for pulling. Goon's 405x10 makes me realize how behind I am.

Maybe try Hepburn singles or triples after this. It's worked for some people.

It's pretty simple. Start with a reasonable weight, and pull it for 4 singles. Next week, pull 5, week after that 6, and so on, up to 10. After you hit 10, add 10 pounds (5 for small lifts), and start over at 4. Triples worked wonders for my SOHP once.

Also, don't feel bad about how strong I used to be, lol. You're way more ript and generally stronger than me now.

-Wow, really surprised by this strong performance; got shitty sleep last night and didn't feel very motivated, and yet it was a good session.

-Weighted pushups will become harder and harder to load now. May switch them out eventually if I can't lug around a backpack full of 60lbs or whatever but until then it's full steam ahead. May start using my big green duffel bag from the military.

Thanks bro. Yes, I'm doing Berkhan's RPT 3x/week. About to switch up deadlifting programming though since progress is kind of getting stale and high-rep deads fucking suck.

Yeah I am trying to spread the Leangains gospel wherever I can. I feel like we're all part of a strange cult. Except we're right :icon_twis

That's what everyone in cults say.

Nice training bro. You ever use much de la riva or berimbolo stuff? That's become my favorite stuff to work on now.

BJJ (no-gi)

Worked the knee over shoulder rolling arm bar from guard, to belly down and a finisher from there where you hook their ankle and roll them to their backs to finish. Then worked from side control off a key lock grip that gets buried, you switch it to a grip behind their neck, take mount to a triangle.

Rolled with a big blue belt, small blue belt and medium sized guy. Got messed up bad by the small blue belt with flying arm bar, flying guillotine..man this dude was getting the better of me today. Worked from butterfly a lot with the other two, got a triangle on the big blue belt after he tried to double-under pass me then got the same triangle on the other guy. Got heel hooked once by him though.

Was stuck in a nearby town for almost 3 hours this morning so no conditioning and just felt exhausted tonight and didn't stay for gi. Four hours for the week so far and may train with a neighbor tomorrow, then again Saturday for 5-7 hours total for the week.

Cut my finger on a knife today. It bled really bad so I have it bandaged up, and some grips were painful and tough tonight rolling. Sucks!

The evidence is overwhelming. Betcha in 20 years they'll be teaching IF in health classes in public schools.

Nah, not really. None of my instructors ever really taught either. Did enjoy a couple of DLR classes back at Balance in Philly but haven't been able to grow it. That's good for you, kind of a good compliment to your top game that I know is strong.

Pics of new cheesecake recipe coming later. I tasted just a bit of it and it's the best one yet.

Hey man, been reading up on IF/LG since you've been raving so much about it, and feel I have a decent grasp on it. I'm wondering, however, how you would set it up if you were training twice a day (AM and PM) 6 days a week? It seems to be tailored more towards people with a single session a day, so I'm wondering if there's any template or options out there for bi-daily training.

What program are you doing that has you training twice a day 6 days per week? Or is it summer training for football?

I don't think it would change much, nutrition-wise. Your total daily energy expenditure is probably really high.
