I would help him if I could. However, I am not a shrink and I'm not close by

In all sincerity, I hope someone does help him, as I feel this isn't going to end well. Hopefully I'm wrong
 
Hopefully somebody seriously steps him and give him the help he needs and deserve.

There has been a lot of threads on this. Those videos don't rise to the level of something he could be involuntarily locked up for. He's not threatening anyone, and there is no proof that he is an imminent danger to himself or others (you could speculate that it could get dangerous the way it's going, but that isn't enough to hold someone on).

BJ doesn't sound like he has the insight to get help, which is troubling because something severe will have to happen before they can come and get him (he would have to be worse than he is and to be a clear danger).

I guess we’ll just have to wait until he beheads his mother looking for microchips before he’s evaluated.

Hopefully not, I think the family is probably on the lookout for him by now (keeping mom safe). CTE has already caused murders and the same paranoia that BJ has in other cases, so no joke at all in this situation.

The videos concern me because they seem to be ignoring him like it will just go away.
 
So sad, really hope he gets some help before it ends in travesty.

Your hands are kind of tied in situations like that. You can't reason with someone suffering from that degree of paranoia, and challenging them in any way just results in escalation.

Very shitty situation altogether, no doubt compounded by BJ's history of drug abuse on top of his head trauma.
 
Very unfortunate and sad to see BJ Penn going through this.

However… if he were to be telling the truth, wouldn’t he be the best person to do this to? I mean, who even believes the guy?
