And many other current MMA legend are very likely to have some massive cognitive decline due to heavy brain damage over all those years... It's showing more and more the dark side of MMA... Specially fighters who are pushed to fight more and more after a certain age...This shit ain't even funny anymore. Seeing a legend go down like this really sucks
That's why JJ needs to retire as well. All the more reasons not to fight anymore, he has had 30 fights, concussions, and even if he were to defeat Tom, every fight is getting more and more of him... Like, retiring now is a wise decision to make the brain damage manifest later rather than sooner. We all need to recognize it... It must not be an exception to fighters we want to lose, that we dislike,etc...This was pretty much all of our worst case scenario's in our minds when we were watching BJ refuse to retire, and taking painful L after painful L. And unfortunately our fears seem to be coming to fruition. I have the same Concerns with Tony Ferguson. Who much like BJ was already a bit unhinged to begin with on a good day, and also just refuses to acknowledge he needs to end his career.
That's so interesting I was reading about this earlier this week, and the first person that came to my mind was BJ.Sounds like Capgras syndrome. He needs serious help and is a threat to himself and others.

He's also a drug addict (Penn) so that's not great.Jones is more like Floyd Mayweather in that sense. Best defensive fighter in mma.
Been hit very little throughout his career, in terms of clean strikes, and even sparred with the intention of not being hit.
He did it smart.
Penn is known to have fought in sparring during most of his camps. He never considered the long term repercussions of all those shots, a lot of fighters from that time didn't.
