Media BJ Penn losing his mind

This is insane. Looks like BJ is struggling with his family getting older and changing?

If he isn't just messing around for clicks, he has a serious condition and it won't end well. His family better get him the help he needs, before he gives them the help he thinks they need. This is some legit schizo shit.
Yep, like this is looking like it might need to result in BJ being committed to a facility for the time being against his will. This is very dangerous behavior that seems likely for BJ to hit a boiling point of delusions and just outright attack one or more of them physically. His brothers might be able to defend themselves, his mother very likely cannot.

Very sad to see, I loved BJ in his prime, was one of my favorites.

He is obviously way too far gone now and needs desperate help. Very, very sad. Feel like he's been way off kilter for many years now, and it is tough to see. Not sure if it is mental illness or some kind of health problem, but it is depressing.

One of the possible causes of Capgras syndrome is traumatic brain injury.
This was pretty much all of our worst case scenario's in our minds when we were watching BJ refuse to retire, and taking painful L after painful L. And unfortunately our fears seem to be coming to fruition. I have the same Concerns with Tony Ferguson. Who much like BJ was already a bit unhinged to begin with on a good day, and also just refuses to acknowledge he needs to end his career.

Unfortunately there is likely no real help available for BJ, just chemical or physical restraint. He's probably not dealing with a chemical imbalance that's fucking up his brain and might be mitigated, allowing him to lead a more normal life, by appropriate medication; he's most likely dealing with extensive physical damage to his brain that cannot be meaningfully treated in a way that allows him to live an unrestrained life without being a significant danger to everyone around him. BJ's lot in life is past the point of being capable of improvement. BJ isn't traditionally schizophrenic; he's severely, untreatably brain-damaged.

BJ's family better get him the help that they need to stay safe from him.

lul, imagine it's true and people be gaslighting him hard?

It's a PRANK bro... chill.

Jesus. We just replaced your family piece by piece slowly with lookalikes and assumed their identities and lived in their houses for a while, it's a prank dude. We got you good though.

BJ is the first fighter I really loved. This is extremely sad.
Yeah, he is one of my favorites, this is legitimately upsetting news. I have been coming to sherdog for years and watching the fighters of yesteryear fall apart is becoming increasingly common.
