Bisping's resolutions: fight Anderson Silva, not

And here we go...

I edited my reply to make it clear it wasn't the UFC that tried to set up the fight, just an offer from Vitor.

You seem like the one who might be scared, I don't know, just the way you throw around the term nuthugger and the conspiracy theory that Vitor wanted to "derail" Weidman instead of just challenge himself against a young talented up and comer makes me think you might just be a hater wanting to put negative spin on anything Anderson Silva related.

You've got to have some deficiency to believe Anderson fans are scared of Weidman.

I, as an Anderson fan, want to see the fight to watch all of you clowns say "Weidman wasn't that good anyway" after Anderson crushes him within two rounds.

The incredible smear campaign and the campaign to fight anyone but Weidman suggests they are.

I for the life of me don't understand why they are. Anderson is GOAT at MW and will be a heavy favorite. I would have faith in him. But Anderson fans obviously got the scare of their lives in the Chael1 fight and now are desperate to see him avoid that type of MW contender who comes from an wrestling td background but who has good sub defense. Personally I think Weidman may struggle for td's and get lit up. But Anderson fans just don't want to risk it. They want to keep him to the stylistic fights taht pose zero challenges for him and that is sad, as he is the only top fighter I know whose fans are afraid for him and want him to avoid a style matchup in his contenders.

You are usually one of the more sane Anderson fans (and posters in general) I will give you that.

But still we all know why you guys keep repeating that Weidman ducked Vitor, even if you qualify it later, and that is because the more it is repeated the more other posters buy into it as truth. Both you and Jack know it is not true but that will not keep you from repeating it.

What's not true?

Vitor asked Weidman if he wanted to fight him, Weidman said no, at least, not right now.

So what's not true?

I couldn't agree more. Then let Hendo, Wand, Sonnen and every other good fighter he's lost to walk into the cage and spit in his corner.

I think that other fighters are pretty respectful of their own. Certainly not like xenophobic scum you find on sherdog.

Also, I think Mike has it tough against Vitor, though if he does win then he's right to think that he deserves his shot.

When he said "ain't gonna fall down like these other bums" I think he's on about people who have crumbled fighting Anderson simply BECAUSE they were fighting Anderson. I don't think it was directed at anyone in particular. But then that is me looking at it with a rational and logical head...

Anderson has never lost to wrestler, outside of upkicking Okami in the face.

Injured Anderson against the best wrestler in the division is not an indicator of how Weidman/Anderson would go. Just check out Anderson versus Henderson/Chael II. Anderson breaks Weidman within three rounds.

To be fair, I'm sure most fighters tell themselves "I'm not going to crumble" before fighting Anderson. Once you get in the cage, it's a different story.

Yes but you both knew it was not true of Weidman prior to posting it. Lets not play stupid Jack and pretend you did a quick google search and just discovered it was a Vitor tweet calling out Weidman. That fact has been presented to you and others over and over.

And yet in the next thread on the same topic when asked who ducked Vitor you will again say

...apparently Weidman did

(with the edit later clarifying).

SO again, save the stupid. You could easily have posted 'no one has and the Weidman rumour is crap' but that does not fit your agenda.

In EVERY SINGLE Anderson fight in the UFC the only style of fighter that has ever put him at risk or forced him to come behind for a win is the wrestling style td grappler.

Sonnen1&2, Lutter, Hendo, all forced Anderson to come from behind to win. And Anderson is great enough to come from behind, and he did win.

Not a single fighter from another base has even come close to putting him at threat.

One style obviously challenges Anderson more then the others. That is undenyable FACT even in his wins. And Anderson fans want him to avoid that style against his MW contenders.

That term is getting thrown around to much now a days. Bisping will win. People will be calm about it. Nothing weird on Sherdog will happen that night.

No, sorry; Sherdog would be database errored for hours. It would be highly entertaining once we were allowed to get back on.

Suicide threads by Anderson fans, the most incredibly annoying threads from Brits that you could imagine. The most hated fighter in UFC history would have threads calling him the GOAT.

The mods (even Bisping mods) would regret the count winning. They would have their hands full for 48 hours, easily. It would be so bad Sherdog probably would consider outsourcing mods from other MMA forums.

what is not true is the impression you are trying to paint of Weidman ducking Vitor.

Anthony Pettis would love to fight Bendo right now. He has indicated that many times. But Bendo is not ducking him by fighting the next contender instead.

You are not this stupid but you do have an agenda. Lower ranked fighters call out the higher ones all the time in an attempt to derail them. The first time Diaz was named for a title shot V GSP, Kos and other called him out. Good for them. Diaz was not ducking them by accepting the title shot but someone with a spin agenda might suggest he was.

The UFC was actively trying to put together Weidman V Anderson and offering the fight to Anderson's camp when Vitor called out Weidman. It would have went down as one of the stupidest decisions in all of MMA history had Weidman replied yes to Vitor's tweet while that was being asked.

Bisping isn't good enough to have a realistic chance of winning a big enough fight to get a title shot, so it's all fantasy for him.

I really don't see him getting past Vitor. I think he's going to be annihilated. Bisping does well 1-2'ing guys who have ploddy footwork, but Vitor is a guy on a bicycle of his own, who just happens to have machine gun fists on top of it. I don't think Bisping can hang with that. We'll see.
I think its a closer fight than that. If Bisping can get it past 2 rounds then I think he takes it. Vitor fades and Bisping has outstanding cardio and conditioning. On the other hand Vitor is obviously more than capable of ending it quickly which is why its so intriguing.

I really don't like Bisping at all, but I want him to win just to see what his fight with Anderson would look like.

Lol @ deserved title shot. This would be the only time he's ever potentially deserved a shot, and even if he wins there's at least one or two guys that deserve it more than him.

No matter what, Anderson would clown him.

I agree with all of that.

There is no way shape or form he has earned a title shot.

The only case for him getting a shot is "he's been around a while".

He Never wins the big fights, it's funnier reading on sherdog how he deserves a shot. Lol

I'll remember this when Anderson drops him on his ass a couple of times in the first round. And thats' if Bisping can even get by Belfort.

I will be one of the many Brit's flooding Sherdog if Bisping was to somehow beat Anderson Silva.

My first thread would read something like this: "Is Bisping the GOAT?"

I love your avi by the way...

I'm not trying to imply or paint anything.

The facts of the matter are Vitor asked Weidman if he wanted to fight. Weidman said no.

And you are making up all this BS about the UFC trying to set up a fight between Silva/Weidman that Anderson is somehow scared to take.

I can post a video of Dana FUCKING White telling all the press right in front of him that the UFC hadn't offered Anderson Silva any fights because Anderson let them know he wanted the rest of the year off after finishing the strong wrestler Chael Sonnen for the second time.

Well, to be fair, I NEVER state Weidman "ducked" Belfort or Silva "ducked" Weidman - they're simply not fights they wanted. honestly, they were smart decisions simply because each man thought they deserved better for their respective careers. Neither of those men are scared of anyone.
