Biggest fall from grace in UFC

Surprised no one mentioned Barao yet.

Big Tim In the top 5 although Anderson and Wanderlei are the top
Prob stitch up there too

And the dude who used to swing the towels and holler at weigh ins....what was his name again?

Dont forget Big Timmeh

First name that popped in my head. Went from defending HW champ, fighting Andrei/Randy/Nog/etc, getting a huge payday to fight Fedor...to going .500 in regional promotions, begging to fight for free in the UFC, and finally retiring to after failing a stress test due to obesity. All in the space of a few years too.

A few that I haven't seen mentioned...

Royce took a hit with the hardcores when he popped for roids.

Bob Sapp went from a legit freakshow fighter to an absolute disgrace whose name is synonymous with throwing fights (not a UFC guy though).

Mark Kerr had a Tim Sylvia-like career trajectory but worse.

Anderson Silva. Went from being called the greatest fighter in UFC history to getting KO'D, leg broken and called an overrated steroid cheater and liar who came up with some pathetic viagra excuse for his defense.

Why someone please explain to me his fall from grace? I would assume a fall from grace should mean a decline or an unexpected drop in performance not who made Dana's shit list

Josh Grispi was looking like a legitimate prospect and was supposed to get a title shot with Aldo. After Aldo pulled out to injury, Grispi got battered by Poirer and then lost another 3 fights in a row before being released. In addition, the guy battered the hell out of his wife and likely will do some serious prison time(hopefully)

This would be the correct answer if WEC counted as UFC - which it does. Seriously doubt Grispi will do any time as his wife doesn't want him punished.

Sadly, its Chael. An ive always disliked him.

Was gifted multiple title shots, offered a executive position with Bellator and Dana was by his side defending the second failed drug test.

Roger Huerta. The man the UFC originally was pushing for to be the face of mexican MMA.

Firts UFC fighter to make the sports illustrated cover, then went on a rapid decline.

Anderson Silva.

Josh Grispi is an underrated answer here, dude was hyped big and injury kept him from fighting Aldo (Aldo via death; Grispi wasn't ready) and then he lost a bunch and went crazy.
