the very best bigfoot channel on YouTube is bob gymlan. his show is incredibly well done, well researched and intellectual. well he just appeared on the joe rogan show!! Joe Rogan kind of ruined the show though because he really steered the topic away from bigfoot and was generally an idiot.

I'll link both the joe rogan show and bob gymlan channel for any of you that are interested. bob gymlans channel is so well done that most of his videos are worth watching even if you are 100% certain bigfoot is total bs.

bob gymlan covers this topic with intellect, and with a sense of artistry that is off the charts and asks more questions than gives his take on the nature of the phenomenon. he is a pretty awkward guy in person so its a little weird but its worth watching if you have an interest in this topic/phenomenon.

I'll link a couple of incredible videos from bob gymlan that are worth their salt even if you think its just fiction. he has a real gift.

I Iike his channel. His best ones are one Attack at Ape Canyon, Dennis Martin and The man eaters of Tsavo.

I'll have to watch this episode.

awesome man. I feel like Joe Rogan did a poor job. you gotta let bob ruminate since hes so intelligent. I feel like Rogan just interrupted and talked the whole time.

Why can't Rogan bring on people who want to make a positive difference in the world, instead of bringing on people with made up stories? Bigfoot, Loch Ness, Mothman, it's all shit people saw while fucked up on booze or drugs, or they were literally the only person to see it. Sounds super legit.

bob gymlan is an incredible artist and storyteller. his work stands up even as fiction. its some of the best creative content on YouTube man. he also does not tell you what to think. he is not some kind of crusader.

Would have been interesting if they delved deeper into the paranormal aspect of bigfoot that the guy hinted at in the beginning.
I think there is something going on that is beyond a simple cryptid humanoid
Time-stamped 7 minute observation on how the mystical side is overlooked.

Did you know the yeti has been considered a type of deity in Tibetan Buddhism? And the lore of a hunting god-creature existed in the Bön indigenous religion of Tibet that predates Buddhism.
It was considered both a physical and spiritual being with supernatural capabilities.

Been meaning to watch this documentary that focuses on that:

I'm very aware of the paranormal aspect. in fact bfro was caught editing out the MANY paranormal aspects to the accounts and sightings listed on their website. they just didnt want to sound crazy or lose credibility as if a certain segment of the populace would ever lend them any to begin with.

I think Rogan did a truly terrible job on this one... I could not even finish it frankly.

personally I am fully convinced that bigfoot is a paranormal experience. I ascribe to a jungian explanation that it is a modern day and evolving mythology and it might even be in the early stages of forming into a kind of nature religion as there are now so many people approaching it in ways that are basically paganism reinvented.

at one time i was interested enough to do long camping excursions in an attempt to have an experience but now that I'm convinced its paranormal (just my two cents anyway) I have lost much interest in it. but I still follow the topic a bit and really enjoy bob gymlan.

I’m not sure how it could be considered modern day mythology when it has been part of ancient folklore in many eastern religions and traditions.
If anything the myth is an ancient and pervasive one, that I think corresponds to a reality that’s peripheral to modern understanding.

you are correct!!! what I meant to say is that it is evolving in the modern world now and I think it is an emerging pagan religion even. and also when I say mythology I do not mean that in the lay person sense of the term. I think mythologies are real phenomenon in the jungian sense. they can leave footprints you can see them etc but I think they are dreamt up by us in concert with a spiritual power of unknown origin.

I am firmly convinced of this for many reasons but do NOT want to press that view as a necessary one.

LOL

The fact that he's doing a Bigfoot show means he doesn't research well and doesn't have a high intellect.
it is actually VERY well researched and he displays unusually high intelligence. not only that but some of his videos rise to the highest form of artistry I have seen on YouTube. they are totally worth watching even if a person is certain the whole phenomenon is bullshit. I posted two that rise to that level but he has many.

he is also really neat in that he does not claim any kind of certainty. he is not a crusader or anything. you might actually enjoy his videos man....

I think the whole Bigfoot issue is paranormal phenomena. I also think there is a good chance the government is looking close to the issue much like they do with UAP’s. There are a lot of strange things that go on in the forest world-wide. I’ve talked to quite a few people with large amounts of land that tell me they have seen unusual things go on there.

The one with the drunk kid who didn't get a ticket because the officer saw Bigfoot gave me the heebie jeebies. Do you think 10mm will stop a squatch? I wouldn't even have got out the car if I was that cop , I woulda just pulled up and been like gwan na an git ! Be telling the sheriff we need m14 patrol rifles.

lmfao, that @BearGrounds clown got banned thankfully

I agree on the paranormal aspects. its an emerging mythology with pagan religious overtones. people are leaving offerings and trinkets and approaching the forest with reverence as techniques to get an experience with it.

sounds like an emerging pagan nature religion to me.

sounds like a bunch of a fairy tale garbage in your head.

lets assume it is totally garbage in peoples heads.

from that place it is still profoundly interesting to me as a human phenomenon. I've spoken to so many people who really believe they have seen it and had quai religious overtones to it. I've been following the development for many years and especially watching particular individuals who go down that rabbit hole. to me there is nothing more interesting than watching this emerging nature religion catch on and develop. its like getting a glimpse into exactly how mythologies are given birth to in a culture.

I don't know if you ever watched survivirman with les stroud? each episode he would spend 7 days TRULY alone some natural environemnt with a team at leaste 20 miles away for emergencies. he went from non beliver to having encounters with it in the woods (not on his show which was not about bigfoot at all) with psychic elements (still assuming its not really with you here). he did not lose his mind but began what I could only describe as having experiences with something spiritual that was bigfoot.

that kind of thing interests me because he is NOT lying. and he is not crazy. so a new mythology is emerging and we get to watch that happen.

that is about as rich a thing as I can think of man.
