Big bands you never cared for...

~~~~ Steve Perry is out of Hanford, that's about 20ish miles west of where I grew up. So there I am at a bar in Hanford called The El Rancero (motel with a lounge) there is a commotion at the door my first thought......a fight, so in walks this little guy with hair down to his butt, yep.....Steve Perry pre Journey days. I was with my cousin who went to school with Steve.

Steve is ....no no no nay well,ok......so he joins the band (had been on break) while up there he notices Gary my cousin, after a few songs he comes over, real nice guy.

But I'm more into a grit and grim sound than what they do.

Well, some, yes....Foo Fighters (just recently re-assessed), Marillion (total garbage), Genesis, Vangelis, Duran Duran (Wild boys recently re-assessed), Camel, Caravan, Reo Speedwagon (they wimped out thru the yrs), Allman Brothers (total garbage!!), Siouxie & the Banshees (yukkk!), Metallica (untold total garbage), Manowar (racist bastards !) and other too many to mention !!!!!!

The pompous rock bands: Chicago, Kansas, Styx, Foreigner.
Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Talking Heads, Devo (untold total garbage !!!!), Doobie Bros, Mastodon, QOTSA, Coldplay (untold total garbage).

I'd say for me, I'll go with artists rather than bands.

Eagles (just wet imo), Billy Joel, Elton John, Manic Street Preachers, RHCP (under the bridge is good though), Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Steely Dan, Big Star and Elvis Costello.

I don't know if there that big, but Black Sabbath I don't feel anything for them.

There's bands with a few songs I'll jam out to but as a whole don't care too much for.

Bee Gees esp their disco crap period, KC and the fuckin' Sunshine Band, 99% of all the wimpy boy bands, Offspring, Cypress Hill, strangely Love, Sly & the Family Stone.
