Pretty sure the veep gets daily briefings which I’d say cover classified info and documentswhy wouldn't the VP have access to classified records?
returning documents he discovered he still had
Yeah this kind of stuff happens all the time and here on both sides
at least Trump has the flimsy argument that he could declassify as president
So you're saying you really have no problem with the idea that they had classified materials? Just trying to gauge your position here.
Yes Trump did actually. Joe does to a certain extent thanks to an EO from Obama. But from what I understand Biden had to of been the one to classify them in or to declassify them. So I guess we wait.neither did trump.
and the vp has authority to declassify certain records.
What do you mean neither does Trump? So Trump can't declassify anything, but the VP can?neither did trump.

Trump did what?Yes Trump did actually. Joe does to a certain extent thanks to an EO from Obama. But from what I understand Biden had to of been the one to classify them in or to declassify them. So I guess we wait.
The VP can declassify certain docs too. What do you mean neither does Trump? So Trump can't declassify anything, but the VP can?
The President has ultimate authority to declassify doc's.

"G. after further investigation indicated that the response to the subpoena was incomplete, that obstructive conduct occurred in connection with the response to the subpoena, and that classified information remained at the premises, DOJ obtained a court-authorized search warrant"
Through further investigation, the FBI uncovered multiple sources of evidence indicating that the response to the May 11 grand jury subpoena was incomplete and that classified documents remained at the Premises, notwithstanding the sworn certification made to the government on June 3. In particular, the government developed evidence that a search limited to the Storage Room would not have uncovered all the classified documents at the Premises. The government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation. See also MJ Docket D.E. 80 at 8 (“As the Government aptly noted at the hearing, these concerns are not hypothetical in this case. One of the statutes for which I found probable cause was 18 U.S.C. § 1519, which prohibits obstructing an investigation.”). This included evidence indicating that boxes formerly in the Storage Room were not returned prior to counsel’s review.
"It's a crime to take classified documents," Neama Rahmani, former federal prosecutor and president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told Newsweek. "President Biden may have violated the Presidential Records Act, Espionage Act, and other federal laws."
However, while the Espionage Act criminalizes the act of gathering, transmitting or losing national defense information, the DOJ only prosecutes "when an aggravating factor is present," Norman Eisen, attorney and senior fellow at the Brookings Institute, told Newsweek.
Lol "at some point". At what point, exactly? Meh, nobody knows, stop asking questions.NARA's role is to make it all public at some point. they have to get it first of course.....
Soooo did Hunter live with daddy?
Hopefully they not going to let this be another Benghazi or Russiagate coverup, or Ukraine cover up
Had mentioned Stefanik yesterday saying they were going to look into this as the special counsel IS connected to Russia Gate cover up and colluding with democrats in discrediting the Devin Nunez Report
Glad to see Jordan already on it within 24 hours.
I have two questions reading those posts.
How did they know classified information remained at the Trump location, like what type of research/investigation did they do to arrive at that conclusion prior to the raid to know there was more there?
i'm pretty certain it would include intent and evidence of malfeasance. How is an "aggravating factor" decided on whether or not prosecution is the path for taking/losing/etc confidential information?
Oh I know, on a host of different issues.
I think I would have a cardiac arrest if someone said, "listen, it's wrong when they do it, and it's wrong when we do it...."
instead we just see finger pointing, deflection and a helluva lot of Whataboutism
i'm pretty certain it would include intent and evidence of malfeasance.
She has such a punchable face, like Matt Gaetz punchable
Jen was descent at her job she is horrible
Hahaha. Its like finding the white whale of the war room.
You know, something I'm rather looking forward to is the Democratic primaries. I'm betting that if people attempt to primary Biden, this event which is being downplayed and shoved under the rug at the moment, is suddenly going to become very serious. It'll show that Biden is a potential national security threat, that he has lost it, that we can't let him be president because of it - but alternate candidate X can save the day. I'm calling it - now this is a "nothingburger" and just misplaced gripes by Republicans and Trump supporters. Come time for someone to challenge Biden it will suddenly become a serious issue and call Biden's fitness to be president into question (along with fifty things which are currently treated as no big deal). Bookmark this post and call me a prophet or a dumbass later, as you see fit.
