Law Biden Commutes Roughly 1,500 Sentences and Pardons 39 People in Biggest Single-Day Act of Clemency

I’m going to take this as a tacit admission that every person who was pardoned did something worth investigating.

Yup. During her confirmation, Pam Bondi said she will follow the facts and if someone indicates to her that an investigation is warranted, she will support action.

Well I think blanket pardons is a good indication of something. I support an effort by her DOJ to look into the legality of blanket pardons without a specific crime being mentioned, while at same time giving reason for Kash to investigate these people.

How Liberals think this looks:

"It's good that he pardoned those people. Trump would've gone after them, when they clearly did nothing wrong."

How history will remember it:

"One of the worst Presidents in history pardoned damn near his entire corrupt administration as he left office. Amrricans will only be left to wonder what they are being pardoned for. One last disgraceful act by a disgrace of a President."

Anyways, I didn't even know you could do this. Pre-emptive pardons? I thought the President could only pardon people convicted of crimes. I didn't think it was this vast get out of jail free card for anyone he chooses at any time, regardless of any convictions for anything. These aren't "pardons". This is immunity. Of all the dangerous precedents Democrats have set over the years, this one might take the cake. Enjoy watching Trump have fun with this one.

Biden just ensured that no presidential admin and cabinet will ever be held accountable for anything ever again.

Richard Nixon received a blanket pardon for crimes not yet indicted for. However, it still had some specifics, such as “any crime Nixon commited vs the United States”. With an obvious focus on watergate, where criminality was fairly evident (tho some think the FBI set him up)

I cannot find the specific language of the pardons today, will be interesting to see. Lots of GOP aligned lawyers on Twitter already saying these won’t hold up

I def think Trump’s DOJ will challenge them.

Other avenues to challenge them such as Some GOP reps already calling to bring these people to be subpoenaed to start the process of challenging these pardons as of course someone like Cheney will would of course try to use the pardon to block having to testify.

Will be funny to see piece of Schiff try to grill Kash during his confirmation lmao

Biden
“These are exceptional circumstances, and I cannot in good conscience do nothing,” Biden said, adding that “Even when individuals have done nothing wrong — and in fact have done the right thing — and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage reputations and finances.”

What a massive load of horseshit. Also, probably the most blatant example of hypocrisy at this level we've ever seen, considering they dragged Trump through endless lawsuits and bullshit cases to keep him out of the Presidency. Here it is for everyone to see. Please, PLEASE, let me see some of these people complain when Trump begins pardoning people.
You mean pardoning people like Steve Bannon and Roger Stone?

<36>

Sets a bad precedent, but trump is gonna come in and make the most executive orders in one day. There were probably grumblings that he was going to go after these people. When a guy says he is gonna be a dictator on day one, and you don’t believe him, can’t say you weren’t warned.

And unless I am wrong, this immunity is for federal charges? So technically, if these people were to have committed offences that can be brought up with state charges, they are fair game?

100%
Let’s say Trump wanted to go after them blindly what could he have done ? Invented crimes well instruct others to invent crimes and they just go along with it.. ridiculous excuse

I swear, these clowns can't go a day without something blowing up in their stupid hypocritical faces. Every single day, their credibility sinks to a new low.
Its amazing, they literally always make reality what they first scare the populace into believing the right will do. Every time. Truly amazing.

Why did Fauci get a pardon?
Because he did shady shit that hurt people and was unstrumental in massive redistribution of wealth from small and medium businesses to megacorporations.
However I doubt that Trump would have really persecuted him, Donald is a corporate man through and through.

I'd like to know this too.

Biden, when asked about impending Trump pardons in 2020, "Well it concerns me in terms of what kind of precedent it sets and how the world looks at us as a nation of laws and justice. You're not going to see, in our administration, that kind of approach to pardons."

Milley, traitor to his country, admitting he was aiding an enemy in what he thought to be possible conflict with that enemy

Jamie Raskin, who received a pardon today, "The seeking of pardons is powerful demonstration of the consciousness of guilt, or at least the consciousness that you may be in trouble. And that’s what’s so shocking about this.”
