Pretty good day squatting. I worked on slowing down my descent as I sometimes hit the bottom too fast. I haven't done ohs in a while and by balance wasn't there. I worked light and tried to keep my reps smooth.

Warmup: foam roll - pvc roll. This past weekend was rough (drinking) so I've made a concious effort to get more quality sleep. Nearly 9 hrs on Mon, Tues, and I was expecting to feel great on Wed. Not the case. I got ready for the gym, walked out the door, came back in the house and said "I'm not going, I feel so tired." Made a deal with myself to just to the first two sets and headed back out the door...Walk to the gym...My stomache feels unsettled.

I'm not feeling very good...Gurgle butt. I had to stop a few times on my walk home, I was breaking out in a sweat. Whoa, I feel like my eyes are burning up and I'm freezing. I bundled up and went to bed after an epson salt bath. Woke up in a pool of sweat at midnight...Awake from 3:30-5am freezing. I'm sporting some sort of fever or food poisoning. Extra Strength Tylenol is keeping me standing today. I hate the world today.
 
I'm sure it is, but I don't track rep PRs. I was happy. no slow grinders, I was able to pop the weight off the floor.

*pops two Tylenol*

I have no clue why I showed up at work today. Ugh! Just had a fire drill. Thats always good for a headache.
 
Do you get a long weekend? I took next Tueday off so I have 4 day one. Very nice!
 
Yep. Have monday off and heading to Chicago next thursday. My wife is presenting at a conference, so I'm going to explore the city and take in a Cubs game.

Yeah, I'm pretty pumped. My lifting schedule is all jacked up but after next week it should get back to normal.

I'm back home and in the land of the living. The six days following my last workout consisted of me blowing out of both ends and consuming nothing more than chicken broth, crackers, gatorade, and Pedilyte. In five days I'd dropped between 10-15 lbs and felt as weak as a baby bird (take that Velocity diet). When I finally felt better, it was off to Chicago (sorry Enright... no quads gym for me). I was able to catch a Cubbies game (hands down the best stadium and fans in pro sports) and rehab with some deep dish pizza. While my wife off at a conference I grabbed my ipod and hit the pavement for some sightseeing in the Windy City. The weather was wonderful I spent my time hopping from museum to museum logging appox 10 miles a day.

I'm think I'm ready to pick up something heavy again.
