Beware the Jabberwocky!

Yeah. One of my wife's high school friends lives in Manhattan and the only time we every see them is on vacations. They've been to Seattle once and we borrowed their flat in NYC once. Knowing someone in NYC really makes it cheaper. Their both film school graduates so I'm excited to see their pictures.

My deadlift wasn't working today. I wanted to work on my hip strength as I can't PL Squat. I felt weak and my glutes weren't firing... At all. I need some mobility work.

When I front squatted earlier this week I used a 2 sec pause and it raped my abzors... So I screwed around with the bottom holds.

I went to Monteverde, Arenal, Playa Dominical, Tamarindo...stayed one night in San Jose...a couple other places, but I dont remember the names.

I highly recommend Playa Dominical.

Coolio!

Is it worth it to go to Arenal for 2 days? I could see the volcano from Monteverde and really wanted to head north, but that was not in our plans. Monteverde was cool, but after 2 days I wanted to get to the beaches.

I'm the same way. The beaches were the best part for me. I might be a little jaded because when I went to Arenal, it was really overcast and I couldnt actually see the top, even though I was standing on the base looking up. Still, I dont think you need to be there two days.

I like to do supine bridges to get glutes/hips firing properly...also i believe coach boyle and some others have recommended do X band walks for the same reason...

ever watch 'american's best dance crew' ?....the jabbawockeez.....are insane....which have a similar name as your log title.....

nice lifting dude...dont be too hard on yourself...it's hard to have strong PL squatting after doing sumo deadlifts just 3 days prior....

do u take any stimulants prior to workouts? if not then u may want to try some for a short period to see if it can help u get past a plateau or gives you extra endurance...

I made sure to do some glute bridges and hip circles. My posterior chain is really tight, I spent 30 minutes warming up. I'm a tall slouch.

I have weak and inflexible hips..Sheiko made that very evident. I'm trying to move my feet wider when squatting, and keep my torso upright in a deep squat. I'm working on it.

All I've been taking in Greens+, B-50 complex, Lecithin, and BA, since I usually lift on weeknights I can't bombard myself with caffeine like I want to. Any suggestions?

How's the Academy been Leo? I haven't caught up on your log yet.

You may want to try 'Chocamine' ...it's a less potent stimulant than caffeine but its effects last longer....this is what i take now when i work out in the evening...

academy is going ok...very stressful but that's to be expected....i have posted most of our conditioning workouts day to day...

I just caught up on your log. Seems its becoming less stressful as training goes on. Good job DS.

Do you recommend pseudo-ephedrine for afternoon workouts PR attempts? Is it worth it?

Have you lost weight in the academy?

pseudo-e is very mild so u can give it a try...i doubt that you'll feel its effects very much tho...

i am about the same or 5 lb more...i been eating less healthy ...

the conditioning is only picking up...not even close to getting easier...have to do running then go back and do hundreds of burpees, mountain climbers, hindu squats, jumping jacks, etc...

Liquid, where did you get your user name and log title from?

Beware the Jabberwocky is a Lewis Carroll poem of nonsense and monsters.

Liquid! - I'd never touched weights until I turned 30. But in a previous life I was a competitive swimmer at my best ranked 7th nationally, so I have an affinity towards water. Most of my normal interwebs handles were already taken on teh Sherdog so I riped off the handle of a digital coloring company (Liquid Color) from X-Men comics. They're signature on comics is "Liquid!"

Plus, I like words that work upside down as well... like "ipod!"..... liquid! has a bit of that.

My deadlift is missing in action, but at least I was able to improve my form a little tonight. I'd been picking my head up and looking forward when I was set to pull, but by maintaining a neutral spine, I was much stronger off the floor.
