Beterbievs power is to ********** much for Canelo

I'm not assuming anything, Canelo is one of the best counter punchers ever, he has a chance of hurting Beterbiev on a counter. But i lean towards a late stoppage by Beterbiev. Just because Canelo's never been stopped doesn't mean he will never be stopped.
it’s not just that’s never been stopped. outside of a 5 second sequence in a fight circa 2010, he’s never even been hurt lol

He’s also never faced someone with the brute power of Beterbiev. Pretending that Canelo can’t possibly be stopped is illogical and is more in the realm of fanboyism not boxing analysis.

nonsense. beterbiev is a strong guy with solid power but far from a devastating KO puncher. he’s literally never knocked a single fighter out cold in his pro career. he piles on pressure, and breaks fighters with a combination of good power and volume. he’s not some one-punch KO artist putting guys to sleep with absurd power.

no it’s actual analysis lmfao there is no fact or piece of data or footage you could possibly analyze that would lead to “canelo loses to ______ by stoppage.” that doesn’t mean it’s impossible, but it’s a prediction that’s impossible to back up with science.

beterbiev stops 175ers on standing 8’s or when they take a knee. meanwhile canelo did this to one of the best LHW’s of the last decade.

hell yeah he’s a monster lol i don’t think it’d be “easy” tbh but i don’t think beterbiev can take canelo’s punches and canelo isn’t going to be bullied. canelo struggles with guys with mobile legs and great defense. i don’t think he loses to anyone who wants to bang it out in close quarters.

p.
Did I ever claim that Beterbiev is a 1 punch KO artist? I actually argued the exact opposite lol. Every single punch Beterbiev throws damages his opponents. Even the short punches in the clinch. That’s exactly why he’s a danger to Canelo. The damage will accumulate like no other fight Canelo’s ever been in, by far.

well, does he hit hard or not? the hardest punchers have multiple out cold-unconscious KO’s on their record. beterbiev doesn’t even have one. where’s the power then? beterbiev’s punches break space and time and hurt you again later in the fight or something?

saying “canelo’s never faced someone with brute power like beterbiev” despite beterbiev never actually knocking anyone out seems contradictory no?

It’s not contradictory because power isn’t a one dimensional thing that can only be measured by 1 punch KOs. There is a cumulative power in which the average damage for each punch is much higher and results in significant damage over the course of a fight. Every single punch Beterbiev throws hurts. He has a 100% KO ratio, he’s the only champ that’s stopped every single opponent. You honestly look like an idiot by claiming he isn’t one of the biggest punchers in boxing p4p. You’re making fanboy comments not a serious boxing discussion.

A washed-up raging alcoholic who wasn't even a shell of his former self? Didn't tainted meat vacate the title immediately to make sure he didn't face Artur at the time?
Or am I wrong, there?

He's waiting him out, but will call out 40 year-old Beterbiev in 2025.

Not only that, Kovalev even admitted post the Canelo fight that he knew he was going to lose. Tells you what state he was in going into the fight. Everyone in boxing knew that Kov was basically an alcoholic that doesn’t train. It was 100% a cherry pick by Canelo.

you are exaggerating to a ridiculous degree. he was a top 3 LHW coming off a stoppage of yarde and a clear victory in a rematch against alvarez, a ranked LHW to this day. one of the best LHW’s of the decade who in your summation, went from scariest guy in the sport to a washed up nobody in 4 years. stop drinking the kool aid of these miserable losers who shit on everyone they can. kovalev was still a very good fighter, no matter how past it you feel he was.

My top 4 p4p power list

1. Naoya
2. Gassiev
3. Tank/Biev and Wilder
4. Jake Paul

Canelo does all this easy stuff that for some reason no one else does. Amazing.

He was already deteriorating physically from alcoholism in the Ward rematch, forget anything after. Canelo gave him a payday, but that's about it. Nothing to cite or crow about---from a Canelo opponent standpoint. That's all. I know Canelo is a great fighter, but Beterbiev at that point might have put Canelo in a nursing home so let's not exaggerate the other way, either. He had that fight when it was much more relevant if he wanted it. He did not. At all. And I don't blame him. He's not a LHW. But the Krusher bout was a farce.

ah yes. clearly canelo’s fault.

oh yeah? so if i pluck a bunch of posts from forum regulars in the kovalev/canelo thread, they’ll all be “canelo is gonna walk right through him” yeah? as well as media predictions? or is that just you trying to discredit the win in hindsight?
You're being disingenuous. Kovalev was completely shot by that time. That's why Canelo picked him and then immediately went back down.
same thing i said to the dude above me. wanna bet no one thought he was “completely shot” going into the fight? wanna bet that entire point was invented to discredit canelo’s win?
