Best movie all time

Action Movie: Die Hard
Comedy: Knocked up
Martial Arts: The Raid
Horror: The Decent
Sci Fi: Blade Runner
Drama: Goodfellas
Kids Movie: Kung Fu Panda

Honorable Mention: 28 Days Later, Full Metal Jacket, Jackie Brown, Jackass the Movie, District 9, The Ring, Wall-E, Guardians of the Galaxy

No love for Dear Hunter? Has to be one of top movies of all time. One of the most powerful films I have seen and and was solid all the way around. Probably my favorite all time movie though it's hard to pick one.

Princess Bride. If you didn't see that as a kid, I'd rather not meet you.

Thank you gentlemen! This was a great start! Please keep your suggestions going.

I'd struggle here, so many different genres, so many different memories from great scenes in quite a few different films.

T2
Shawshank
Alien
Once upon a time in America
Cape fear (De Niro)
Silence of the lambs

But as for an experience id never imagined would live up to my expectations, i'll have to go with the GOAT trilogy;

Haters gonna hate, but I class this trilogy as one film, doesn't make sense otherwise.

couldn't pick just 0ne,i could probably get it down to 20 or so.

The belly of an architect by Peter Greenaway.

It's probably the one that made me the most emotional and touched me the deepest, and since "best movie of all time" is impossible to define, such as p4p GOAT is, I'm going with that.

My favourite movie of all time is In Bruges.

Objectively the best movie though is There will be Blood or The Godfather part 1 or 2.

1977's classic starting Paul Newman-

SLAPSHOT

It's got action, comedy, romance, violence, and tits.

Both of these are in my Top 5 GOAT films.

The other three -

Saving Private Ryan
Aliens
The Dark Knight

Other honorable mentions...

Spider-Man (2002)
Forrest Gump
The Matrix (If you view it as a self-contained film, rather than the first of a shitty trilogy, it is amazing.)

seems we have similar taste.

My top 3 all time:

1. Matrix (as you said, the sequels really fucked this one up - I think the original is underappreciated now due to how much of a let down the sequels were)

2. Aliens

3. T2

It's difficult to pick just one. @BisexualMMA @Zer

I haven't seen a lot of films this decade tbf but Drive is definitely the best film I've seen in the last 10 years or so. I guess Black Swan is the only other recent film I've seen that's on that level

Amazing film with a rockin soundtrack to go with it. @Zer
