The only rank that matters

Don't really know but watching Holly Holm beat Hondas ass was an all time sports highlight for me

Ronda would have Holly's arm in a sling for 6 months if they ever rematched.

Amanda, Shevchenko, Ronda, Joanna, Carla, Rose, Weili... In that order for me.
Nice ranking but no Andrade? I know she has no title defenses but she wasted years of her career fighting not one but 2 divisions above her own, top 5 and a former champion in the other 2 divisions she fights in, currently i think she needs a camp change cause her style kind of got stale, but she is still a legit fighter imo.

Imma just leave the numbers out there and you can make your ranking.

-Valentina Shevchenko (FLYW): 7 title defenses in a row, 4 finishes
-Ronda Rousey (BW): 6 title defenses in a row, 6 finishes
-Amanda Nunes (BW): 5 title defenses in a row, 6 title defenses overall, 3 finishes
-Joanna Jędrzejczyk (SW): 5 title defenses in a row, 1 finish
-Rose Namajunas (SW): 2 title defenses overall
-Zhang Weili (SW): 1 title defense
Julianna Peña, Jessica Andrade, Carla Esparza, Holly Holm, Nicco Montano, Miesha Tate and Alexa Grasso are girls that have got the title but have no title defenses (yet).

I'm not even going to count the FW division since that one has always been a joke (can't even make a top 5 out of it).

So the one with the most title defenses is Valentina (7), the one with the biggest finishing rate is Ronda (100%) and the one who has fought the toughest competition idk because that one is subjective but I usually hear ppl putting Amanda in that regard

I know at lot will point at the poor end to Rhonda's career, but remember Nunes was humiliated by Pena, so to me Rhonda is clear number 1. Her run as title holder was insane, the number of finishes under a minute will never be beaten in the UFC. For a period the gap between Rhonda and the rest of the division was bigger than it ever has been in any UFC division. Then add what she did for the sport, both men and women, she helped make UFC more mainstream. The only person that has done more for MMA than Rhonda is Dana in terms of getting eyeballs on the sport (even more so than Conor, because Rhonda truely was mainstream).

When you put it all together she is easily the female goat.

Amanda 1st with 11 title wins.

Cyborg is in second.
Bellator 5x title wins
Ufc 3x title wins
Invicta 4x title wins
Strikeforce 3x title wins.

That's 15 title wins in major mma promotions. You can't deny how amazing that is.

Amanda easily outclassed Val twice, beat Ronda on that list and most importantly beat Cyborg. It’s not even close. Val dropped down to fight the worst girls i’ve ever seen, her resume is by far the worst in ufc history. Would like be if Nunes stayed at 145 beating girls like Megan Anderson lol. Not that all of Amanda’s wins are great, but all of Val’s wins have 0 value other than JJ.
…and by using TS’s logic (or should I say illogical reasoning) of diminishing Nunes’ wins over Valentina because Nunes was bigger… Valentina’s win over JJ is meaningless since JJ moved up from a lower weight class..

Nunes. And it isn't really close.

She went up and beat Cyborg. No one wanted that fight. They were going out there trying to survive and she walked her down like she had somewhere else to be . . . and she didn't just beat her, but beat the fuck out of her and sent her to another organization. Beat Valentina twice and retired Rousey

She's beaten 3 of the consensus top female fighters of all time. She's out in front by a fucking mile

Nunes has 8 title defences. Why are you leaving that out?

I agree WFW has always been a shallow division, but Cyborg is like one of the original founders of WMMA. Hardcore fans knew about Meg Fujii, and Gina Carano was/is sexy as fuck, but Cyborg was the one racking up highlight reel KOs that brought people in. So I think you have to consider her.

She was roided to the gills, doing dodgy shit with scales, fighting way smaller girls, and getting UFC BWs to fatten up to fight in a division that the UFC built just for her.

She beat a BW brought in from from another org to win the UFC FW title. Literally all of her 5 fights in the UFC before Nunes flattened her were against career BWs. Even Nunes had only been a BW until then. Spencer was the first career FW she fought in the UFC, after which she bailed and went off to Bellator, where she now fights cans.

So, yeh, you don't have to consider her lol.

For a while it was Joanna, defended regularly, exciting fights, no ducking, sold the cards like a marquee name should.

Grasso and Nicco are the only ones never to lose a title fight, so there's that.
