Best female champion ever?

Imma just leave the numbers out there and you can make your ranking.

-Valentina Shevchenko (FLYW): 7 title defenses in a row, 4 finishes
-Ronda Rousey (BW): 6 title defenses in a row, 6 finishes
-Amanda Nunes (BW): 5 title defenses in a row, 6 title defenses overall, 3 finishes
-Joanna Jędrzejczyk (SW): 5 title defenses in a row, 1 finish
-Rose Namajunas (SW): 2 title defenses overall
-Zhang Weili (SW): 1 title defense
Julianna Peña, Jessica Andrade, Carla Esparza, Holly Holm, Nicco Montano, Miesha Tate and Alexa Grasso are girls that have got the title but have no title defenses (yet).

I'm not even going to count the FW division since that one has always been a joke (can't even make a top 5 out of it).

So the one with the most title defenses is Valentina (7), the one with the biggest finishing rate is Ronda (100%) and the one who has fought the toughest competition idk because that one is subjective but I usually hear ppl putting Amanda in that regard
You've got Amanda's numbers wrong. She has eight title defenses; Rousey, Shevchenko, Pennington, Holm, De Randamie, Spencer, Anderson, Aldana.

She has 11 title fight wins in total, beating Tate, Cyborg and Pena in UFC title fights.

If we're discounting divisions for arbitrary reasons then Amanda only has five defences and Shevchenko has none, as UFC's W145 division is as old as UFC's W125 division.

Lmao it's hilarious that to make your shitty thread relevant you decide to discard two entire years of a fighters career.

So is it shitty for putting out there what most ppl think?

Everybody says that's an imaginary division and they are asking the UFC for getting rid of it, even Dana said it last saturday

It's not my fault she decided to fight a couple of soccer moms at 145 before losing the belt right after she went back at 135

You're full of shit, considering you counted her featherweight title fights in the other anti-Nunes thread you made today. You're just a salty Valentina stan pushing a narrative.

Noobs.

Esparza is the women's champ goat.

She took the belt from the greatest straw weight of all time.
She was untouchable during her entire reign, until her very last defense against a kung fu master.

carla! carla! carla!

I mean, on paper, Amanda Nunes is the female GOAT. I really wish that she had rematched Cyborg (Cyborg fought so stupid), but a win is a win...

If you’re going to start a thread and say “these are the numbers, draw your own conclusions” then you have give the actual numbers.

Once you decide to edit them, whatever the reason might be, you are no longer just giving numbers; you’re giving a conclusion.

Don't really know but watching Holly Holm beat Hondas ass was an all time sports highlight for me

The fact that she had a stoppage in every single win is very impressive, 100% finishing rate

And she really fought the best they had at the time
Maybe but the best were really bad. As soon as she fought anybody decent she was exposed.

Val is definitely the better skilled champ, but Amanda has the bigger names on her resume, including Val (though admittedly with a big size advantage).

If Valentina were as big as Nunes, we wouldn't be talking about Nunes at all.

The fact that Valentina and Nunes was so competitive as a testament to Valentina, not Amanda.

Amanda has also shamelessly quit on two occasions, when she didn't really have to.

Although Shevchenko recently tapped, it wasn't because of "quitting to fatigue," the choke was sunk in.

Joanna for life.

She fought the best competition all in their primes, also all the top 5 wmma fights of all time are Joanna fights

Amanda Nunes because she beat everyone and retired as the champion in two divisions. She is called the GOAT for a reason.

She didn't beat anyone, she lost to Cat and never avenged, was gifted two decisions against Val.

Her cyborg win was great, but she wanted nothing to do with the rematch for good reason.

P4P Schev is more skilled, she almost beat Nunes who is a lot bigger than her. Nunes on the other hand has fought better opponents, while Ronda dominated every single one. I think it’s a tough one, but in the end I don’t care, Nunes and Schev are/were boring while Ronda and Namajunas were extremely exciting (except against Carla). Kind of sucks that almost everyone at BW are terrible and boring.

I think you left out Chris Cyborg.

She's a two-platform Featherweight Champ.

Defended her title twice for the UFC (before losing to Nunes), and has won the Featherweight title in Bellator, defending it 4x now.

6 finishes in 8 title fights altogether.
