Best American Muscle Car?

In the old days, the muscle cars were the big cars with big blocks.

I didn’t make the definition of muscle car up, that’s how it was.

Now days the term gets thrown around for damn near everything.

Doesn’t make it right.
the first gen pony cars from the 60's was muscles cars I don't understand you not getting that. The Chevelle, GTO, Fairlane, Torino, Road Runner, Charger, 442, and GTX are examples of "Mid-Sized" cars the Mustang, Barracuda, Chevy II/Nova, Challenger, Camaro, Firebird, Couger and Javelin are examples of "Compact" cars. The "big cars with big engines" are the luxury type cars you'd get from Cadillac, Buick, Lincoln, Chrysler that are big ass boats not cars ment for the drag strip.

Uh...hate to break it to you, but those came with a 5.7 (350), which isn't a bad engine by any means.

Dam I thought it had the 454 motor that the trucks had.

Like this car because how odd it is, its like a middle finger to the scene.

Its a 80s car .
Its turbo V6 (not a giant NA big block) V8.
Its from Buick (not chevy, pontiac or even Ford), the brand that mades cars for old people .
Its a luxury model.
Engine Tuned by a euro company McClaren.
Faster than the competition of his time.
The mustang shop I worked at was next door to a G/N shop,
We got all the young kids with mustangs and they got all the old guys with fat wallets doing work lol.

If you know a lot about G/N’s, this was the shop next to ours

They didn’t come with it, but it was a popular modification at the time to shove the 454 ss into them and put the 454 ss emblems on them.

I’ve seen dozens built like that. So I can see why people would think it was an option.

Ok, since you are not getting the point.

The smaller cars were called pony cars, the bigger cars like the gto and chevelles were called Muscle cars

Just because everyone calls them all today muscle cars, doesn’t make the misuse of the term correct.

And I guess the Cobra R isn't a muscle car judging by the definition itt, but fuck it always had a soft spot for this bad boy as well.

I had a set of real 95 cobra R wheels off a wrecked cobra R on my coupe way before you could buy the replicas from ford.

Used to turn heads.

Me and my buddy built a replica SuperFly with his 99 cobra years back.

I loved that car, want to do another.

Yeah those wheels were simple but bad ass.

Beautiful, but not really a Firebird. Pontiac no longer exists. Nice Camaro kit, though. I hear GM will discontinue the Camaro (again) this year.
Yeah they are just calling it Trans Am. But that hood...it's still a firebird to me dammit!
