Ufc/mma fighter doesn’t automatically mean they’ll be good at boxing. Look at Gabe Ruediger getting pieced up twice by Jason Ellis (a skateboarder who recreationally trained mma), and Tito getting outboxed by Dana when Dana was managing him etc. Ben would lose to Jake in boxing, so would Cody Mackenzie, another UFC vet

You can learn and get good at more than one thing. Would be hilarious if Jake Paul knocked out Askren just because of the meltdown it would cause here.

I like Ben, particularly in his folk style wrestling days but this is one of those rare rare times where a professional fighter's striking is so ridiculously bad, compared to his professional cohorts, that I give the other guy a 20% chance of knocking Ben senseless. Without the threat of takedown Ben's striking is not very intimidating, not intimidating at all.

Only 20%? Im not saying Paul is an elite boxer (he's not), but hes halfway decent. Ben has some of the worst striking Ive ever seen in MMA. He can take a decent punch but thats probably his only saving grace. Paul has better boxing for sure.

I’d put huge money in him in a boxing match btw. He withstood a monster dunk and beat down from Ruthless Robbie, so can jake really do any worse with 12iz gloves

I never believed Askren would be a contender in the UFC, but it's hilarious to read the overwhelming mockery of him on this forum considering the majority of the members here were hyping him up as a future title contender because they enjoyed his press speeches.

Ben putting on his tough guy costume because he wants paid. After the fight he would try and hug the guy. He has no business near a boxing ring. Nobody wants to see that.

Wrong. I would LOVE to see it. I wouldn't pay a nickle for it, but the hopes that Ben could lose is more than enough to pique my interest. It's fun watching him implode as he tries to squeak every last dime than he can out of his name recognition.
