News Bellator sale talks heating up

I really hopes this works out decently for both orgs. I know folks love to hate and piss on PFL and Bellator but for me losing 2 tier orgs would be a bummer. Can only imagine how many fighters are going to get lost in just the sale shuffle. If there is a bigger fallout over time....ugh....

Separate I think we kind of get what we been getting out of these orgs, which lets be honest isn't a whole hell of a lot for most fans outside of a few events a year. We seen what both orgs have done for years now and I don't think fans are anymore excited than they were 3 to 5 years ago. Together at least its new, more interesting, and hopefully leads to something bigger and better than what we are getting right now from both orgs. I at least give PFL credit for having some big dreams and going after them. From signing Francis, to Jake Paul, to starting a PPV series next year, trying to expand there global orgs, and to have the balls enough to go buy Bellator. So many of these orgs just operate over in the corner of the room and fans barely hear a peep out of them year and year and we now got someone ready to make a splash. Will it work, who knows. But I think most agree what both orgs have been doing has kind of run its course.

so showtime is getting out of the boxing business. makes sense. They need to fire that weasel espinoza.

Rick Glazer is a legit source. He's the go to guy for nfl isider info. No way he ruins his rep for this. SHowtime getting out of boxing is huge news.

Paramount is actually shutting down showtime and absorbing all its content and library into paramount so getting rid of boxing and bellator makes sense.

Dang no more Shobox? How is boxing thriving and dying at the same time?

Fabrizio Romano is a legit source. He's the go to guy for football transfers. Can't wait to hear his take on Damian Lillard's trade to the Miami Heat. No way he ruins his rep for this.

Adrian Wojnarowski is a legit source. He's the go to guy for NBA trades. Can't wait to hear his take on Kylian Mbappe's transfer from PSG. No way he ruins his rep for this.

Really seems like boxing and maybe just combat sports in general has become to expensive for the Showtime's and HBO's of the world.

I think boxing's biggest issue is kind of the opposite of the UFC's issues with fighter pay. Too much money is going to just a few of the top guys in the sport and not enough trickling down to the Showtime's/promoters of the world that keep the sport going and building the next potential PPV stars on any given weekend. Some of the top guys can easily cut out the Showtime's of the world because they are their own promoter and if they do have a deal with a Showtime its pennies on the dollar at best even after Showtime might of been the promoter who got them up to a stand alone level PPV star/own promoter level.

Showtime’s problem was they dealt with PBC, which gave them nothing but garbage for years on end, until this year, and by then it was too little, too late.

Also, Showtime, and premium cable as a whole, just isn’t a place for Sports. Not anymore, at least

Nah …. PBC has nothing to do with Showtime’s demise if indeed is happening… PBC has given us the biggest boxing events since the Mayweather days (second Haymon managed boxer after Vernon Forrest) … mismatches happens in all boxing and mma shows… it was overstated at PBC by the media

Paramount is going down the drain. They are probably gonna go under and sold off in a year or two
