It is legal in the UK on an individual level but organized prostitution (brothels) are not.
I am personally against prostitution, but legal prostitution is a lot better than the illegal prostitution that is bound to happen. There are some disgusting brothels in some of those countries labeled red from what i have seen in documentaries. Like Cambodia. Stds, hiv, no safety for the sex workers etc. Just horrible conditions.
