Crime "Beautifying" L.A. is not working

Tbf I don’t think this buildings really on the city of LA. If I remember correctly it was some Chinese company but they went bankrupt during covid so the project was abandoned. Now there’s all kinds of legal bullshit that needs to happen before any decision is made about what to do with those buildings. Until then we can’t really do shit like tear it down, sell it, use for homeless shelters etc.
That is definitely the entire county of L.A fault you don't see that in the O.C,ventura, kern county, I.E or S.D.

If there’s ever a legit investigation into all the money we’ve spent trying to fix the homeless crisis I expect a bunch of fraud to come out. There’s billions of dollars unaccounted for and people have been stepping down from important roles quite a bit. My proposal is to just send them all to Barstow.
There is definitely embezzlement in the homeless industry here in the south bay area they built homeless tiny homes on shipping pallets that cost like 6 grand in reality to build and they charged 300,000 for them to the feds.

I don’t think companies in China are building skyscrapers there then going bankrupt mid construction cuz of a global pandemic lol. It’s definitely a unique situation.

Dump of a city.
All major cities have crime and shitty areas. Choose one and I'll be more than happy to pick apart the bad areas... and I've seen them all in every city I've been too. Even towns and cities that have a whole 30k people in them.

Even the cities and states that people flee too have the same issues. Austin has a massive homeless population and shitty areas. Same with Vegas. Nashville has some ghetto areas, not on Memphis level, but there's areas you need to stay out of.

Pick one:

- Investigate the contractor that installed the ivy, especially if they're getting paid for the removal job in addition to the installation.

-Spray paint ban incoming.

The default is send it send them Barstow. Doesn't matter the scenario lol.

Honestly, I thought it would be much worse. Not nearly as bad as they make it seem.

You mean the welfare queens who moved to texas to start shitty business in austin and not pay taxes?

You're welcome to them.

Silicon valley is filled with Welfare Queens? Are you retarded? Don't answer that... we know

Ok... lol

Go on... lets hear your next retard comeback

How tech billionaires spurred an exodus of rich people from California

The campaign against a proposed billionaire tax was sparked by industry leaders that have long bashed San Francisco. It has consumed the tech world, and it’s driving some of the state’s richest residents to relocate.

The ‘nightmare’ budget scenario looming over California — and Gavin Newsom

What? That looks like complete shit. Especially for the people who have to work in those buildings.
Nobody “works in those buildings” it was supposed to be a luxury apartment complex and they ran out of money and company went bankrupt prior to completion. Again I’m from here and actually see the buildings weekly. Also I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder sherbro.

There's a reason Democrats are pushing back on auditing NGO's. However, if they dug into and fixed their fraud issues, the budget crisis would disappear overnight. Newsom has doubled California's budget since he took office in 2019. Which coincides perfectly with Minnesota's massive increase of their budget... which also looks tied directly to fraud.

NGO Fraud Exposed: Chamath Palihapitiya Sounds Alarm on California’s $593 Billion Non-Profit Sector Rife with Waste and Abuse

Palihapitiya warned that up to 20 percent could be plagued by compliance issues, equating to $120 billion in potential waste, fraud, and abuse
Quoting a viral post detailing over 213,000 NGOs in the Golden State generating a whopping $593.4 billion annually—dwarfing even New York’s $445.8 billion—Palihapitiya warned that up to 20 percent could be plagued by compliance issues, equating to $120 billion in potential waste, fraud, and abuse. That’s a quarter of California’s entire FY25-26 budget, funneled through shadowy “progressive” non-profits with minimal to zero oversight.

This “NGO fraud complex” isn’t new, as we have extensively reported. The state’s progressive policies have ballooned the non-profit industrial complex, often serving as a backdoor for government spending without accountability. With billions in taxpayer dollars flowing to NGOs via grants and contracts, stories of embezzlement and theft have followed, fueling calls for federal probes and state/nationwide reforms.

IRS audits and GAO reports cited in the discussion reveal compliance lapses in one-fifth of sampled non-profits, from minor paperwork errors to outright fraud. In California, where NGOs handle everything from homelessness to disaster relief, the risks are amplified by the state’s sanctuary policies and generous welfare expansions, which inherently create incentives for abuse.

In the end... If a fraction of money California is spending actually went to services and cleaning up the state, they'd be so far ahead of every other state.

Instead California is last or close to last in

- poverty
- infrastructure
- homelessness
- cost of living
- electrical prices
- gas prices

Did you notice his graffiti collection is *in* his home not*on* his home? His coffee table book gives him license to speak for everyone else on the effects of graffiti

So a city with massive housing issues has an entire building of unfinished apartments sitting empty?

lol...

Lets dig into it... Oceanwide Plaza. Was being built by a... Chinese Company. Who defaulted? And now it's locked up in legal issues because the Chinese Government is involved? And LA politicians got caught in taking bribes from the Chinese Company?

The Oceanwide Plaza became involved in more controversy in 2020, when former Los Angeles City Councilmember, Jose Huizar, who had represented the Downton area and chaired the Council's Planning Committee, was arrested on charges that he had accepted bribes from several developers, including China-Oceanwide, in exchange for allowing their projects to continue

You can't make this shit up

Seriously, no one knows how to hemorrhage money like cities in California.

Democrat leadership destroys everything it touches.
Fascinating

California is the largest economy in the US

LA county has a higher GDP than almost all red states (on welfare) combined.

But yeah, da dems

Lol, have you ever heard of the Great Park and that mess or their stream of corrupt DAs? Incompetence crops up in any municipality, it just looks different.
