I didn't know you could ask for that, but the glove fits snugly so I don't have a problem. The particular photo has green and black patent leather split so I just went for it and told Bill to split the palm and thumb.

Yeah just get ideas off Grant's page haha, they have a lot of snakeskin designs. BB's fists are curved, but I'm sure you could ask for them to be flattened. Not a big deal though.

Nice man. The picture i have of canelos gear shows the palm...can't even remember where i found it but its on my desktop...Regardless, that is a great replica, especially the shade of green.

Does that mean you went imf?

Crap I thought he had a ribbed cuff but that wasn't the case. Oh well at least the general scheme of it is fine.

Yeah I did IMF with soft padding (not winning/boxeo soft though). Adequate. Will test them out tomorrow.

I've talked to him about sponsoring me when I turn pro. He says it's just so much money to get gloves approved by the commission.
 
Custom training gear is one thing. Trying to break into the fight glove end of it is very difficult acknowledging all the separate state boxing commissions and ABC sanctioning bodies. Mr.Grant Phillips has contacts with the WBC and several others both in Mexico and the US. We're a new and small company, although I've been around boxing for 50 years + we 're not able to number 1, sponsor anyone at this time. This has been discussed and explained.

I have no idea why your item is being held up. It was sent directly from Pakistan to you, rather than shipping them to me in the US and then me shipping them back across the Pacific to you. An item number was also included I'm told. Have no idea why customs would hold them.

Thanks bill. Actually explains a lot of the reason why we don't see certain glove brands we think are great being used in pro boxing matches.

Oh man, that picture is fapworthy. Probably $2,000 worth of gear there.

I see, he received two pairs of gloves so I got the ribbed cuffs right. Split Palms was a miss but it still looks amazing anyway.

I'm pretty sure all that gear was a marketing tool for Grant. Too bad I don't need a headgear or no foul protector or I'd be tempted to complete the set.

triple and ribbed cuffs are interchangeable in terms of terminology.

what's really fucked is that is probably $2000 with of gear when in reality is probably only worth like $600 haha.

Topboxer just emailed me a pic of his newer, more fluorescent green. I know, I know...pics or this shit is internet myth. I'll post the pic later.

The green I have is good, I think I'll enjoy the gloves I have for now. Maybe I might get shin guards or headgear in the future. But I'm sure lots of people here would like that type of green and maybe produce their own versions.
Would love to see the new green.
Flourescent Green and patent black leather are the in thing now!
 
I actually prefer DS' Keylime green vs the Fluro Green.
 
Haven't seen the fluro yet so I can't comment yet. DS got a good glove pair though. All that matters.
