Man, I just can't get hyped for this movie. Not like Cap: Civil War anyway. The music doesn't even get me pumped and I'm talking about the first trailer as well as the second. Something about Batman facing off against someone who could kill him in seconds doesn't interest me. The only thing that draws out the fight is Superman's restraint.

It's like Captain America fighting Thor and Cap is the only one who is going all out. Not interesting at all.

Okay, let's get past the whole "this was a shitty trailer" bit and jump to it's implications. It's fucking Doomsday. If we don't see a beaten, crippled, dead, or nearly dead Superman by the end of this, I would be disappointed.

There's no such thing as a murderer by proxy. Joker is the one condemning innocent people to death. Their blood is on his hands. No one else's.

It is not that black and white.

If I know a rabid dog or lion is loose in a city killing random people it comes in contact with and I have a chance to kill it and not only do I not kill it but indirectly by constantly capturing it and letting it escape (willing or not) I am aiding that dog or wild animal. As it maims and kills the next people of course some of the blame is rightly on me. I had a chance to end it and I choose not to. And by getting involved (capture and release (willing or not)), I prevent others from potentially killing it.

Batman does not have to kill the joker as he will always survive him. He is truly not at threat, only others are. And the Joker gives Batman purpose.

It's against Batman's moral code to kill, and I see nothing wrong with him sticking to his moral code.

Fine but then stay out of the fight with the Joker and that will force someone else to step up and deal with him.

Batman's history with the Joker can be defined as sadomasochistic. He actually does nothing, not one thing, negative to the Joker and in a perverse way protects the Joker by ensuring the cycle continues and he empowers him. Batman can arrest the Joker 1000 times and the Joker will escape 1000 times and kill more and more each time.

Really, you use 1 brief line in a trailer to justify your argument? In a instant where a lengthy debate between the two icons would take away from the moment, I thought it was a rather appropriate line... short, sweet and to the point.

Winter Soldier was the most serious of all the MCU movies, and coincidentally the best of all the MCU flicks (in my opinion).

And how exactly am I trying to "make this out to be an Academy Award winning film"? Because, you know... simply saying it and explaining your reasoning are two different things entirely.

This trailer makes me think the movie will be very very bad. firstly, DC is trying to copy the "Marvel humor and wit"...only the backdrop is so gritty and dark and depressing that it just seems so horribly out of place.

Comic Book Prime Batman is Superhuman in all but name. 1,000lbs Bench at 210. Master of 127 Martial Arts. IQ of 192 with photographic memory. World's greatest detective. Genius inventor. Expert mechanic. The list goes on and on.

This trailer has me even more stoked for the movie. Not sure why people are hating on it.

1)Eisenburg is a shit Luther. He comes across as an Emo Nerd who needs to get laid.

2)Some of the dialogue is face-palm worthy, especially the, "you do not want to pick a fight with this guy!" and "you know the oldest lie in America..."

3)Doomsday, one of the most iconic villains in comic book history, looks like the product of an violent, drunken hate-fuck between Tim Roth's Abomination and a Ninja Turtle.

4)Even if they'd made a great Doomsday, which they sure as Hell haven't, they shouldn't have shown him during the trailer. Keep your powder dry for the movie itself.

5)WTF is Batman and Superman's problem with each other anyway? Superman doesn't like it because Batman tortures criminal scum? Really? The same Boy Scout who snapped Zod's neck? Add in the collateral damage of his fights and Superman has a way higher body count than Bats.

Batman's hate-boner for Superman doesn't make much sense either. Batman is supposed to be a cold-blooded, pragmatic, strategic genius. So why can't he figure out that Supes wasn't to blame for the carnage? Indeed, he saved the whole world, even if it did come at a price.
