BATMAN V SUPERMAN v.10 (First Twitter Reactions)

Gotta say too that I'm by far a bigger fan of Batman than Superman but as a viewer of that trailer, I'm firmly in the corner of Supes as far as this feud goes. What the fuck did the guy do wrong. Everybody is quick to bring up the people who died during the Metropolis destruction, which, of course, was horrible but how about the fact that humanity in its fucking entirety would have been destroyed if not for Superman. Batmans worried about the possibility of him being corrupted? Bullshit.

At best.

Looks boring. The trailer lost me after Afflecks forced grin near the beginning. I barely got through the trailer.

You mean to tell me that Wayne driving up, Clark asking who he was, then Clark asking him about Batman lost you? That was literally the first 15 seconds of the trailer.

I've been very critical of the trailer myself, but come on. One thing I will say, is I'm glad I got to see the trailer before I read about it. My first reaction was a very excited reaction. It was upon viewing it more times I thought wtf

My big question is

Why would you give away the ending to your movie in the trailer.....

Whats the point in watching batman vs superman fights when we already know what it leads too....

Fucking idiots man

I agree 100%. I mean, most people knew that Batman and Superman would eventually become allies but the trailer just totally spells out why they will become allies and who they will fight. The initial teasers actually had me excited for the movie but I'm a bit disappointed by having so much revealed in advance.

It was a lazy forced grin and I didnt like it. Completely lost me. Something about Affleck trying to smile just bugs me. My least fav part in Good Will Hunting is the Ben Affleck reaction shot when he realises Good Will has left town to go see about a girl. The movie looks meh but the Ben factor kills it for me, I cant do it.

It seems many people in this thread (and other DC-related threads) are here simply to criticize anything DC does and constantly compare it to Marvel. Go check out the MCU related threads and you'll see these same posters praising any and all things Marvel. From what I've seen so far, both companies are targeting very similar demographics, although Marvel seems to have a broader audience base.

And yes, I fully agree that door swings both ways, by no means is it specific to Marvel fans... DC fans are equally at fault. It just seems that there are so many people that act or feel like they have to choose a side. Why? This literally makes no sense to me. I agree that Marvel has done a superb job at rebooting or bringing to life comic book superheroes, and their success was very much responsible for DC following suit. Personally, I like to think I'm allowed to be a fan of both, although I've seen people scowl upon hearing that. Their problem, not mine.

People have said that DC has spoiled the movie with the newest trailer. Really? Between the studios and leaks, teasers and trailers and all the promotional tie-ins, I think I've seen half of every Marvel movie before it hits theaters.

I loved this trailer. I thought it was great. I just wish more people would watch it not expecting a Marvel property and with the understanding the DC has chosen to go a much different route. And the same holds true with DC's movies. It's not bright and cheery, it's not vivid and full of color. The tone is much more serious, and the dialogue is not full of witty banter that is so simple a 7 year old can understand it.

The introduction of Doomsday shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone. Given the heroes that we've seen (or know of making a cameo), Lex Luthor alone was never going to be enough of a sole villain to justify having a group of superhero heavy-hitters. I'll be honest, I was expecting Brainiac, but Doomsday comes as a very, very pleasant twist.

With the money this movie cost to make they couldn't do a better job on Doomsday..

Hell Jurassic Worlds special effects are damn near flawless, why couldn't this look better than a cinematic shot from a PS4 game.

I'm disappointed the trailer gave so much away.

this is why people rag on these movies. Wonder Woman shows up "I thought she was with you."

LMAO, ya, what 7 year old wouldn't get the cheese of that line.

This movie isn't any more or less serious than Winter Soldier, stop making this out to be an academy award winning film.

Bad CGI in a movie nowadays, especially a big budget movie, is inexcusable.

There's no problem being a fan of both sides. I've liked what I've seen in CA3 but I will watch BVS no matter how picky I was with the trailer.

One would argue that Winter Soldier is more serious movie. I just personally feel way too much is going on here to take it too serious. I'm actually glad Lex is the way he is.

Saw the trailer, loved it, not gonna sit here and nit pick everything.

Don't Doomsday's bone protrusions grow as he takes damage?

I refuse to believe that's his final form.

False.

I loved the Bat Nolan trilogy. Hated Man Of Steel though.

Michael Bay was considered once to helm Man Of Steel. Guaranteed it would have been better with his great CG and cinematography.
