Oh for god's sake, it never occurred to me he was talking about Frank Miller. Surely it's obvious to everyone that they can't just do a straight adaptation of TDKR at this stage.

Im just saying whats with the Crocodile looking villain? Is it Doomsday? A mutated General Zod?

The Joker's victims are his responsibility and his alone.

If Batman snapped the Joker's neck, there would be no more victims. Every time Batman throws the Joker in Arkham, he's condemning more civilians to die. And he knows it.

"Can you see it, Joker? Feels to me like it's written all over my face.

I've lain awake nights thinking about it. Endless nights. Considering every possible method. Cherishing every imaginary moment.

From the beginning I've known...

That's there's nothing wrong with you that I can't fix...

With my hands."

Best line in the trailer,

"Stay down! If I wanted it, you'd be dead already!"

i replayed that like three times....highlights the dynamic btwn batman and superman, esp when they are in conflict..

superman can easily dispose of batman, in light of that fact batman still gives no fucks and is gonna fight.

excellent characterization of both heroes their perspectives, their freedoms and limitations in character and physical ability.

I think the first 2/3 of this movie will be phenomenal. As in the actual batman vs. superman part. The last 1/3 will be Avengers style world ending too much CGI stuff. Overall it will be a very good movie. Hell the first 1/4 of Xmen FC was about Magneto hunting nazis and that was enough to make it a top 5 comic book movie for me.

The opening scene with Batman and Superman looked awesome, then Jesse Eisenberg pops up and the whole thing fucking falls apart. Doomsday looks like a fucking Ninja Turtle. I'd never seen a trailer get you so hyped and then shit on your face in a course of three minutes before

Even if Batman thinks he's responsible, he's wrong. The Joker could die, he could stop killing on his own. Batman's only responsible for any lives he may take, not the Joker.

Are you saying that you wouldn't shoot a dog you know is rabid and will bite and kill people? Because that's the situation we're discussing here.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Dark Knight. But he is morally inferior to someone like the Punisher who makes damn sure that serial killers, rapists etc etc don't get a chance to re-offend.

Spoiled the whole movie. And Lex Luthor acts too much like The Joker.

I don't understand the time line. So Lex Luthor is young and juvenile, but Batman is already retired after the Joker kills Robin - so Batman is an old man by now. But Superman and Lex are young-ish. Meh.

Either way, Supes is fighting after-his-prime Bats.

For the life of me, i can't understand why Lex Luthor is portrayed in ways that doesn't fit his character at all. Isn't Lex supposed to be a cool and collected villain? Why is he played like a buffoon by Gene Hackman, a goofball by Kevin Spacey, and now a freak by Jesse Eisenberg? They are all good actors, so I blame the director and/or scriptwriter.

He's supposed to be an evil genius, reserved, someone who thinks before he speaks and does. But in a lot of movies (and shows), he comes off as more of a nuisance than anything. And you're right, he's been played by some amazing talent.

Way too many spoilers in that trailer. It looks like an interesting movie is there, I still think its gonna suck though. Goofball longhaired Lex isn't doing anything for me either.

He's actually Lex Luthor Jr. His father "unexpectedly passed away in 2000". He's taken over LexCorp so that's why he's so young but also successful

I'm guessing that Batman somehow has a premonition of the future (possibly given to him by Wonderwoman which would explain her appearance in the film) where Superman has been corrupted and is working with Darkseid. Batman has taken a fighting force to attack Superman at his compound and at some point ends up captured and chained up with a few allies. Then we see the evil Supes enter the scene and done.

Yeah, I figure that whole scene is a dream sequence.

Hmm, interesting.

So Superman never even got a chance to meet Lex Luthor? Or maybe they'll do some story where he "faked" his death and shows up at some point.

Yeah I'm intrigued by the "unexpected" wording. It could mean a whole list of things like a conspiracy similar to what you mentioned or that Lex jr killed him.

Affleck at least looked the part, but i'll never understand the rationale behind casting Jesse Eisencock as Luther and allowing the retard to portray Luthor as a retard.

So is DC already playing damage control by saying Eisenberg is Lex Luthor's son now? This shit is already falling apart
