Trailer should have just been the first minute exchange between Clark and Bruce. Holy shit that was gold. You could feel the tension and that Bruce knew exactly who he was talking too and was putting the screws to him a bit. Personally, I love Lex. Jesse Eisenberg would look ridiculous trying to be menacing and intimidating to those two guys so it makes sense to go another route. Also, how do we know that's not just his public persona to come across like a goofball or that something happens to him later in the film to make him more serious?

agree with you COMPLETELY, that wasnt gold; that was fucking platinum, you literally got the impression these two were gonna fight at a highly publicized mega gala. An it wasnt just that it's batman/superman, its clark kent/bruce wayne; journalist v businessman billionaire and the media v big corporation. It used the impending physical conflict to highlight the conflicts of beliefs/approaches/outlooks/philosophies.

that could have been the whole trailer and i would have more than been pleased, am i the only one who loves the scenes where there is underlying tension or a verbal/idealistic battle...

Pretty underwhelming. Will check it out, but this looks like heavy Fanboy material here. Seemed like way too much CGI and dark tones and colors.

Gal Gadot looked good though.

What's the deal with Snyder using the exact same color palette for all his movies?! 300,Watchmen, Suckerpunch, MOS, and this. Way too fucking dark.

I missed the trailer last night as I was considering suicide but here are my thoughts. The dialogue was really weak. There were too many jokes I've heard before (the cat in the tree line, the good grip line, the I thought she was with you line). And Doomsday? Really?

You'd better be joking.

You really think that the U.S./World Government is going to let Superman just fly around willy-nilly without a pit-bull to let off the chain if they feel the need?

That's why Gen. Eiling (in the comics) injected himself with Doomsday DNA, to "protect" the world. Plus he even launched a Nuke at an Island that Superman was on to kill him.

In the 1st officlal trailer (not teaser) Bruce Wayne says that Superman "has the power to wipe out the human race“. As horrible as the Joker is I think Batman doesn't see him as a threat to all of humanity whereas Superman is someone Batman is geniunely afraid of. At least that's what I gathered from it so far.

Or it could just be an ego thing, maybe Batman is obsessed with being the more feared vigilante and hates the competition. But I tend to think (and hope) that's not the case

Batman has stated that the reason he doesn't kill the Joker is that once he started killing criminals he'd never be able to stop. He'd enjoy it too much.

My own theory is even darker: Batman won't kill the Joker because the Joker keeps the game interesting. He's one of the few people who can compete with Batman, on a mental level if not the physical. So the Dark Knight is willing to let thousands of innocent people die rather than give up his favourite sparring partner.
