Trailer should have just been the first minute exchange between Clark and Bruce. Holy shit that was gold. You could feel the tension and that Bruce knew exactly who he was talking too and was putting the screws to him a bit. Personally, I love Lex. Jesse Eisenberg would look ridiculous trying to be menacing and intimidating to those two guys so it makes sense to go another route. Also, how do we know that's not just his public persona to come across like a goofball or that something happens to him later in the film to make him more serious?
agree with you COMPLETELY, that wasnt gold; that was fucking platinum, you literally got the impression these two were gonna fight at a highly publicized mega gala. An it wasnt just that it's batman/superman, its clark kent/bruce wayne; journalist v businessman billionaire and the media v big corporation. It used the impending physical conflict to highlight the conflicts of beliefs/approaches/outlooks/philosophies.
that could have been the whole trailer and i would have more than been pleased, am i the only one who loves the scenes where there is underlying tension or a verbal/idealistic battle...
