They showed too much. Doomsday body is shaped like an oversized Gremlin. Now the who plot of Superman vs Batman seems pointless. They should have left this a surprised. This look like a desperate attempt to get people to watch it.

When I heard about Doomsday being in the trailer, this was my initial thoughts. It would have been a good surprise.

But now that we know, it's apparent that this is not going to be a Superman VS Batman movie. They might face off near the beginning, but that'll get sidelined for a bigger threat, now revealed to be Doomsday.

It'll be Batman, Superman, and Wonder-woman VS Doomsday... that's been spoiled by the screenshot of the three heroes standing side-by-side and facing the real threat.

Sad... I was hoping Doomsday was going to be saved for the next Superman sequel -'Death of Superman.' But this flick is turning into a clusterfuck with too many ingredients in the soup.

So far, we have Superman and Batman (obviously), then Wonderwoman and Lex Luther (okay, that's nice) and rumors of other Justice League heroes making appearances (shit... ok, how many characters are there going to be?) And now Doomsday..................

(Sigh) This flick better have a run-time of at least two and a half hours.

My sentiments exactly. Rumours of Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash.

Damn, I know all those cats have their solo gigs in the works and Justice League is on the horizon, but I too, think it could be clustered and lose it's way early on. Though I hope it'll be BvS for 2/3 of the film, then Doomsday/Lex for the final third.

Why do people keep forgetting the full movie title is "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"? It was pretty obvious from the last trailer that there was another threat in the film. The two scenes that give it away are:

1. Wonder woman is pushed back by something seemlingly powerful. Batman wouldn't have been able to do this and most people assumed that wonder woman wouldn't fight superman.

2. Towards the end of the trailer Batman dodges a large energy projectile. The projectile was way too large to be superman's heat vision.

Hell, most websites already leaked the story about there being another threat that will make the heroes unite. Do people not pay attention to details?

But I will agree that they should have waited to show Doomsday. But if you really thought this movie was going to be about Superman and Batman punching each other in the face for 2 hours + then that's ignorance on your part.

Bale was a horrible Batman but a decent Bruce Wayne.

I think this generation has been spoiled by the incredible animated offerings from DC. They have set the bar so high that nothing can compare.

Same with me. The dry humor really works coming from lex versus the serious heroes. I also like the last exchange between batman and supes. The tone is really reminiscent of the animated series and movies... i don't get the hate. This is DC's tone across the board if your really a fan that is.

and Supermans statement along the lines of "I could end this anytime I want" is really great. sure he could end it, but he doesn't. Like in Hush, deep down, Superman is a good and decent person. And deep down, Batman is not. the contrast between the two is really evident in the movie.

i think nowadays the idea of a comic book movie not having the story being known by the masses is pretty freaking impossible; given the characters have extensive histories through comics an animation its almost impossible to surprise anyone w/what is gonna happen.

whether its captain america-iron man-the avengers-man of steel-arrow or the flash we kind of already know whats gonna happen, the directors/companies just put their own twist on it.

What sells the movie is the execution of the film...everyone says the trailer gives away too much; but most people on this board and others had essentially come to the conclusion of what would happen before the 1st teaser trailer came out.

so how is anyone shocked by what they saw, the capt america trailer was the teaser trailer; but as it gets closer to release we will get a trailer doing the same thing this one does.

if you really want to be kept out of the loop, u can always not watch the trailer...that solves the problem..
